After returning to the Noir residence, the housekeeper informed them that dinner had already been prepared.
After a short rest, everyone gathered in the dining room.
While they were eating, Eleanor answered a phone call.
“Your eldest brother has wrapped up everything overseas. He’ll be coming home soon!”
The moment Chloe heard the words eldest brother, her head shot up.
“Really? He’s coming back?”
It was like receiving an instant boost of confidence.
Of the three brothers, the eldest was the heir Richard and Eleanor had painstakingly groomed. He controlled much of the Noir Family’s business and wealth, and he had always treated Chloe well.
With him back to support her, she wouldn’t have to keep getting overshadowed by Iris.
Richard smiled. “That’s right. It’s been almost half a year since you last saw him, hasn’t it?”
“Yeah. I already finished the perfume he brought me last time.”
For the first time all evening, Chloe found a topic that made her feel like she belonged.
Before long, the conversation turned back to Iris.
“You haven’t met your oldest brother yet, have you?” Richard said with a smile. “His name’s Vincent. He’s not much of a talker…”
Richard let out a soft laugh.
“Now that I think about it, you two are actually pretty similar. Quiet, reserved… you’re definitely brother and sister.”
Vincent wasn’t much of a talker. Outsiders often mistook him for cold, but he was exceptionally brilliant–a born business genius.
“He’s bringing plenty of gifts back too.” Richard beamed. “He’s been looking forward to meeting you.”
A few days later, Iris went to the hospital to visit Marcus.

His recovery was going smoothly, and he was already able to walk.
Stella sat beside him peeling an apple while the siblings chatted and laughed.
“Miss Iris!”
Hearing her brother’s greeting, Stella turned around and wheeled herself to the door.
“Come in! Would you like some apple?”
“No, thanks. How have you two been these past few days?”
She still remembered how, when the siblings had first reunited, Stella had clung to Marcus, crying so hard she had nearly fainted.
Only after experiencing the line between life and death did people realize who truly cared about them.
She had almost abandoned her own brother for that scumbag.
She had even argued with her brother because of him.
“We’ve been doing well.” Stella smiled sincerely. “My brother told me everything. The surgery only happened because you asked your friend to help.”
Looking earnestly at Iris, she continued, “When you think about it, you’ve saved both of us. From now on, we belong to you. We’ll never betray you.”
“So you’ve stopped planning to burn down the world for some guy?” Marcus teased from his hospital bed.
Stella glared at him before turning back to Iris. “Miss Iris, if you ever need anything, just let me know. I’m actually pretty capable.”
She grabbed the laptop beside the bed and quickly typed in a web address.
The screen immediately turned black, leaving only a dark login portal in the center.
After logging in, she turned the laptop toward Iris.
“This is a forum where hackers from all over the world gather.”
“Everyone takes on jobs here to earn points and increase their membership rank.”
“I’m currently a four–star member, which puts me in the top thirty percent of the entire site.”

That already made her one of the better hackers around.

Her brother had told her that Iris wanted to build her own network through the nightclub
business.
After thinking it over, the only things she could really contribute were bartending…
…and hacking.
She was essentially laying all of her cards on the table.
“Very impressive.” Iris simply nodded and offered the calm compliment.
It wasn’t nearly the reaction Stella had imagined.
Xavier Hayes, who was checking Marcus over nearby, noticed Stella’s disappointed expression and laughed.
“It’s okay. I’ve always suspected she has trouble expressing emotions. For her, saying ‘very impressive‘ is already top–tier praise. I’ve won so many awards overseas, and she’s never complimented me like that.”
Stella burst into laughter.
Iris responded by giving Xavier a light kick.
“I’m really not that amazing.” Stella scratched her head sheepishly. “There’s actually a six–star legend on the forum who’s the truly incredible one. They’re my idol.”
“But they haven’t logged in for a very long time…”
Marcus was recovering well and would be discharged the following week.
Iris spent some time discussing the nightclub’s future business model and marketing strategy with him.
He understood almost immediately.
“Don’t worry, Miss Iris. I’ll take care of the club. You can focus on running your company.”

After leaving the hospital, Iris caught a ride with Xavier to the Zero Degrees Institute.
Zane Walker had already obtained a sample of the slow–acting Type N–1 toxin from overseas.
