Yonki let out a mocking laugh. “Change sides? So I can spend every day eating free meals and accomplishing nothing like you? At least President Zero has already pulled off the new product launch.”

Nick’s face darkened. “Enjoy yourself while you can. Following her is going to end badly.”

He stormed away.

Once he was gone, Lilian couldn’t hold back anymore.

“Has he always been like this? Why doesn’t Iris just fire him?”

Yonki shook his head. “She probably has her own plan. Besides… Nick’s backing isn’t as simple as it looks.”

As they passed the president’s office, they noticed it was empty.

“Speaking of which,” Lilian asked, “where’s Iris?”

“She went to meet with the last business partner.”

At an exclusive members–only restaurant in Kingsley City, Iris was escorted by a waiter to the private table she’d reserved.
