Fake Daughter Is The Real Legend (Iris Sutton) novel Chapter 248

Chapter 248 Iris’s Admission Was Revoked

“What did you say?”

Vanessa froze for a moment, still gripping Olivia’s shoulder.

Olivia quickly hid the vicious expression that had flashed across her face and forced a smile.

“Nothing. I was just thinking how lucky my sister is to get into Capital University. Unlike me…

“So what if she got in?” Vanessa scoffed. “Once you marry into a wealthy family, you’ll be untouchable in high society. Who does she think she is?”

After chatting with Vanessa for a few more minutes, Olivia returned to her room.

Meanwhile, at the Noir residence, Iris stared helplessly at the thick stack of invitation letters piled on the coffee table.

“They’re all invitations?”

Vincent nodded and picked up one of the envelopes.

“This media outlet is out. They’re always sneaking photos of the people they interview.”

He picked up another.

“And this one focuses on entertainment news. They’ll probably try to twist your words and start some ridiculous dating rumor.”

Iris watched as he sorted through the mountain of invitations, rejecting one after another until only two or three remained.

“Honestly, I don’t want to accept any of them.”

She finally found an opportunity to speak.

Vincent paused, then tossed the invitation in his hand back onto the table.

“Then we’ll decline all of them.”

After looking through them, he found that most were shallow interview requests with little value.

As Iris glanced over the pile, one envelope caught her eye.

Unlike the others, it looked like an old–fashioned handwritten letter.

She picked it up and opened it.

Inside was exactly that—a handwritten letter.

“How did a letter get mixed in here? Was it sent by mistake?”

She noticed that both her name and the newspaper’s name were written on the envelope. Curious, she

folded the letter and skimmed through it.

The letter was sincere.

It was written by a rookie reporter who wanted to create a study–focused column. None of her supervisors believed the project would succeed, but she still wanted to try. She hoped to help more students cover effective learning methods and improve their grades.

The reporter also wrote about her own childhood and how difficult it had been to figure out the way to study. She earnestly invited Iris to participate in an interview.

At the bottom of the letter, she had even included a simple sketch of a group of students thanking is.

“I’ll do this one.”

“Alright. I’ll help you send them a reply.”

After reading the letter himself. Vincent agreed that this interview was worth accepting.

At the very least, the person who wrote it seemed genuinely sincere.

A few days later, at the Noir residence-

As usual, Chloe had the household staff bring in a large stack of deliveries for her, many of them luxury items she had ordered.

Among the packages, one envelope stood out immediately.

“Mom! Dad! My admission letter is here!”

Excited, she ran over to Richard and Eleanor, waving the envelope in front of them.

After joining the special admissions program, she had received an admission letter from Capital University. In practice, she would be treated almost the same as any other Capital University student.

After all, the program had been specially arranged for her by Rumi and President Wade to ensure that she would be admitted despite her scores.

Richard and Eleanor were delighted as well.

Both of their daughters would be attending top universities in the capital. It was certainly something worth celebrating.

Sull..

“Why hasn’t Iris’s admission letter arrived yet?”

After promising to buy everything in Chloe’s shopping cart, Eleanor fell into thought.

“It doesn’t make sense. Iris was the national top scorer. Why would her admission letter be arriving this

e: Could something be wrong?”

Richard patted her shoulder reassuringly.

“Don’t worry. With Iris’s scores, there won’t be any problems. Back then, so many universities fought over her. Even Capital University’s president personally remembered her. Maybe the letter already red and she’s just been too busy to pick it up.”

That evening, when Iris returned from Venus. Richard brought up the matter during dinner.

“Iris, when you have time, check whether your admission letter has arrived. Chloe’s already came.

Only then did Iris remember.

“Let me check.”

Her text messages were empty. There were no new delivery notifications.

“Maybe the shipment was delayed?” Eleanor offered.

Still, it really shouldn’t have taken this long.

Iris opened the Capital University laboratory group chat and typed a question.

“Have all the admission letters been sent out?”

She rarely spoke in the group, so the moment she appeared, people immediately started responding.

“I helped with the mailing. Everything was sent out three days ago.”

“What’s wrong, Miss Zero? Does someone in your family have an offer from Capital University?”

Iris became even more puzzled.

The letters were being sent from Capital to Capital. There was no reason for such a delay. Besides, she and Chloe shared the same address. Their letters should have been mailed together.

“I’ll call and ask.”

She directly dialed the admissions office.

“Hello, this is the Capital University Admissions Office.”

“This is Iris Noir.”

The moment the staff member heard her name, their tone became noticeably strange.

“Miss Noir How may I help you?”

The cold formality immediately made Iris suspicious.
