But he never asked directly.

After chatting a little longer, the two went to a restaurant near Capital University for dinner.

By the time they finished eating, the sky had already begun to darken.

Ares drove Iris back to her dormitory.

“How are things going with Alliance Secure Mission?” Iris asked. “Do you need any help?”

“Hannah got called away by one of the professors. Just leave hers on her desk.”

After distributing the desserts, Iris returned to her own desk and began working on her laptop.

The room gradually fell into comfortable silence.

Everyone focused on their own tasks.

Later that evening, when Fiona went to shower. Iris noticed that the dessert on her desk hadn’t been touched.

Leaning halfway out of her bed, she shouted toward the bathroom,

“Fiona! If you don’t eat that cake soon, it’ll go bad by tomorrow!”

Standing in front of the bathroom mirror, she stared at her own reflection for a long moment after speaking.
