Chapter 280 The Battle
Chapter 280 The Battle
That was unbelievably underhanded. How was anyone supposed to beat him?
An experienced military instructor versus an ordinary freshman?
Before Iris could say anything, complaints immediately started spreading through the formation
“I told you not to be so impulsive! Now look what happened!”
“Great. One person wanted to save face, and now the rest of us have to suffer for it.”
“We’re doomed. Double–difficulty military training? We’re finished!”
As the instructor walked over to retrieve the rifles, he couldn’t help laughing to himself.
At least these students weren’t completely clueless.
They had figured it out eventually.
Just a little too late.
Their reactions were exactly what he had expected.
A freshman had embarrassed him in front of everyone.
Now she was going to learn a lesson.
By then, he had already returned carrying two training rifles.
He handed one to Iris.
“You agreed to this yourself.” He smirked. “Don’t accuse me of bullying you afterward.”
Expressionless, Iris accepted the rifle.
The instructor continued,
“Someone keep time. Two rounds. First disassembly, then reassembly. If we tie, the bet is canceled.”
“Fine.” Iris agreed without hesitation.
The ease of her response caught everyone off guard.
Even the instructor couldn’t figure out what she was thinking.
Still, no matter how he looked at it, there was no way she knew firearms.
Right?
One enthusiastic student volunteered to act as timekeeper.

Chapter 280 The Battle
Soon, Iris and the instructor were seated on the field with identical rifles laid out before them.
News of the challenge spread quickly.
Instructors from nearby companies wandered over to watch.
At this point, the instructor suddenly felt a flicker of unease.
Her composure was almost unsettling.
Could she actually know how to do this?
“Ready… Begin!”
The instructor’s thoughts were entirely occupied by Iris.
The moment the timer started, he instinctively glanced at her first.
Then he froze.

Without the slightest hesitation, Iris picked up her rifle and began disassembling it with practiced precision.
“What-?”
The brief distraction instantly put him behind.
He hurriedly turned back to his own rifle and began working.
The surrounding instructors were equally stunned.
The girl was actually good.
Very good.
That speed would have been impressive even among trained personnel.
The Biomedical Sciences students stared in disbelief.
Iris’s hands moved so quickly they almost blurred.
The complete rifle rapidly transformed into neatly separated components beneath her fingertips.
“No wonder she accepted.”
“She actually knows how!”
“She looks so cool right now!”
Everyone wanted to cheer for her.

. That was the only reason he’d lost.
There was still the reassembly round.
The instructor narrowed his eyes.
