Chapter 309 Elevator’s Threat
Whenever Mr. Liam listened to these two perform, he couldn’t help but feel that the future of the Violin Association was incredibly bright.
What surprised him most, however, was Celeste’s reaction.
After learning that she wouldn’t be able to play the violin for a while, she remained unusually calm and didn’t throw a single tantrum.
The last time she’d accidentally cut her hand at the association, she’d been upset for days.
Yet this time, despite being injured far more seriously, she showed almost no emotional reaction at all.
During the ten days of intensive training, Iris spent most of her time with Celeste.
Every time Zara tried to get Iris alone, Celeste somehow ended up getting i
n the way.
One day, as Zara headed to the top floor to look for Iris, she stepped into the elevator.
The moment the doors closed, something cylindrical pressed against her waist.
A chill shot down her spine.
“W-Who are you?”
A man’s low voice sounded from behind her.
“You saw what happened with the glass, didn’t you?”
The blood drained from her face.
That day, when she had gone upstairs to practice, she had seen a shadowy figure near the classroom glass.
But her friendship with Iris had always been superficial.
Part of her had wanted to see Iris embarrassed, so she’d chosen not to get involved.
She had never imagined that despite hiding, the person had still noticed her.
“I didn’t tell anyone anything.”

The man spoke again. “You and Iris are close, yet you didn’t tell her?”
Zara hurriedly explained, “We only look close on the surface. In reality, we’re rivals.”
The man didn’t seem convinced. “You know she’s scheduled for her evaluation with the competition team in two days, right?”
“I… I think so.”
A low grunt came from behind her.
“I don’t care how you do it. Make sure she fails the evaluation.”
The object pressed harder against her waist.
This time, Zara could clearly tell it was a gun.
“Who are you?”

“You don’t need to know.” His voice remained cold. “When the elevator reaches the top floor, walk straight ahead. If you turn around, I’ll shoot you.”
Zara had never experienced anything remotely like this before.
Her legs nearly gave out beneath her.
“O-Okay! Okay! Please don’t kill me!”
“Remember this. You saw something you weren’t supposed to see. Under normal circumstances, that would’ve gotten you killed. This is your second chance.”
“Of course! I don’t like Iris either. I’ll help you. But as for how-”
“Figure it out yourself.”
Ding.
The elevator arrived at the top floor.
The doors slid open.
At first, Zara had hoped someone would be standing outside so she could catch a glimpse of the man’s face.
Unfortunately, the hallway was completely empty.
She had no choice but to step out.

Only after the elevator doors closed again did she collapse onto the floor, still too terrified to look back.
That person had access to the association’s security card.
Could it be someone from inside the association?
Iris really did seem to have a lot of enemies.
After several deep breaths, Zara gradually regained her composure and pushed herself to her feet.
Just as she was about to take the elevator back downstairs, the doors opened again.
Iris stepped out.
The moment Zara saw her, guilt flashed across her face. She instinctively retreated a few steps and looked away.
“What’s wrong with you?” Iris asked.
“N-Nothing. I just remembered I forgot something downstairs. I’ll go get it.”
After saying that, she brushed past Iris’s shoulder and hurried into the elevator.
Iris noticed that something was off, but Zara moved too quickly for her to stop her.
Soon, ten days had passed.
It was finally time for Iris to present the results of her training to the competition team.
The day before, she had carefully inspected her violin and, after confirming that everything was in perfect condition, stored it in Mr. Liam’s office and locked the door.
Only she and Mr. Liam possessed keys to the office.
Without one, not even the association president could enter.
The windows were made of reinforced bullet-resistant glass as well, making it virtually impossible for an outsider to break in.
The next day, as the evaluation approached, Mr. Liam appeared relaxed.
“Don’t be nervous, Iris. These ten days of focused training have already produced remarkable
