Mr. Hayes watched his son’s retreating figure.

If he were the only one involved, he could probably hold on a little longer. But he was worried that his two sons would get dragged into this and hurt because of him, so it was better for them to stay away from this storm as soon as possible.

After finishing breakfast, Iris returned to her dorm.

She already knew what had gone wrong with the medical equipment.
