On the way back, Iris told Sophie and the others to return to the classroom first.
She had something to do downstairs.
“Are we seriously not going to register?”
Sophie asked miserably.
“We are.”
Iris’s answer was simple.
The Foundation Class students exchanged glances.
After what had happened, how could they possibly go back and ask for forms?
They returned to the classroom looking defeated.
A few minutes before class began, Iris walked in carrying a thick stack of papers. ·
She casually dropped them onto Sophie’s desk.
Still feeling depressed, Sophie turned around.
Then froze.
A mountain of registration forms sat on her desk.
She looked at Iris in horror.
Then flipped through the stack.
“I-Iris… where did you get all these?”
Iris sat down calmly.
“I copied theirs.”

Sophie blinked. “…What? You didn’t even have a copy.”
“Claire showed us one.”
Sophie’s jaw nearly hit the floor.
Claire had only waved it around for two seconds.
Two seconds.
And Iris had reproduced the entire thing from memory?
What kind of memory was that?
Regardless of how she’d done it, they now had forms.

Sophie immediately carried the stack to the podium and explained everything that had happened in the Academic Affairs Office.
The entire class was furious.
Everyone became fired up.
Even students who had originally planned to skip the competition and focus on vacation plans came forward to grab registration forms.
Of course, some students remained skeptical.
“Sophie and the others might have a chance.”
“But Iris?”
“Come on.”
Sophie immediately slammed her desk and stood up.
“Who says so?”
“A lot of the questions I’ve been solving lately were explained by Iris!”

Unfortunately, nobody believed her.
Most assumed she was simply defending a friend.
After all-
The incident in the auditorium had probably been a coincidence, right?
Then, during math class, a second “coincidence” happened.

One math class later, the math teacher sat fuming in the faculty office, waiting for his students to come apologize and beg him to return to class.
When Miss Taylor came back after her lesson, she sat across from him.
“What’s wrong, Mr. Lee? You’re furious. Did my students make you angry again?”
That question opened the floodgates.
“Don’t even get me started on your class! They have terrible grades, yet their ambitions are sky-high!”
“Today they actually said they wanted to participate in the competition qualifiers.”
“I told them the truth, and they couldn’t handle it!”
Mr. Lee immediately launched into a lengthy rant.
During class, he had simply tried to help those students face reality and think about backup plans.
And then Sophie had publicly declared that someone else explained math better than he did.
That they didn’t need a teacher like him.
Fine.
Then let that person teach them. He didn’t want to teach those students anymore

anyway. D
Meanwhile, the so-called unmotivated students of Foundation Class were currently surrounding Sophie and Iris, eagerly asking questions.

The whole thing had started because the class representative had encountered a difficult problem she couldn’t solve.
Since Mr. Lee refused to explain it, she remembered how strongly Sophie had recommended Iris and decided to give it a try.
To her surprise-
Iris actually explained it.
Perfectly.
It wasn’t that Foundation Class didn’t want to learn.
The problem was the school’s favoritism.
Ever since being assigned to Foundation Class, they’d felt like abandoned children nobody cared about.
Whenever they went to the teachers’ office with questions, they were met with ridicule and sarcasm.
Only Miss Taylor showed them any patience.
Over time, the environment wore them down.
Eventually, they gave up.
But Iris’s appearance had given them something they hadn’t felt in a long time.
Hope.
Maybe…

Just maybe…
They really could improve.
When the bell rang, Iris looked at the design draft she’d been working on.
Not a single additional line had been drawn.
She sighed.

Even with Sophie helping absorb some of the crowd, there had still been too many students asking questions.
“I get it now!”
The final girl closed her workbook and stood up.
Looking slightly embarrassed, she smiled.
“Iris… I think you’re actually really amazing.”
“You just look hard to approach.”
“You’re smart and you’re nice.”
“I even believed some of the rumors before and said bad things about you.”
“I wanted to apologize.”
Iris simply nodded.
She couldn’t be bothered with the nonsense Olivia had spread.
Most ridiculous rumors destroyed themselves eventually.
All you had to do was wait.
After only a single math class, Foundation Class’s impression of Iris had subtly
changed.

“Iris, thank you for helping students like us.”
Iris shook her head.
“You were never bad students.”
The classroom suddenly grew quiet.
Then she added,
“I’ve already explained many of these problems to Sophie.”
“If she can’t solve something, then come ask me.”
Her voice wasn’t loud.
But every student heard it.
“Exactly!” One student immediately stood up. “We’re not bad students! I’m studying starting today!”

“Even if I don’t make the competition team, getting a few extra points on the college entrance exam is worth it!”
Another student jumped in.
“With Iris carrying us, why are we still feeling sorry for ourselves?”
