Chapter 65 Termination
Chapter 65 Termination
The five students behind her stared in shock.
None of them had expected her to ask for that.

To motivate the majority of students, Capital Preparatory Academy designated one class in each grade as the Foundation Class-the lowest-ranked academic class in the grade.
That class received inferior facilities.
Inferior teachers.
Inferior resources.
And endless ridicule.
The excitement in Harris’s chest instantly vanished.
There was no way he could agree to such a demand.
Yet he desperately wanted those notes.
Pretending to be troubled, he said,
“That’s the principal’s decision. The policy has existed for years, changing it wouldn’t be easy. You can choose another request.”
“That’s my condition.”
Sophie quietly scooted closer to the class monitor.
“Oh no. I think I’m falling in love with Iris.”
“She’s so dominant.”
“I love it.”
The class monitor looked speechless. “Please control yourself.”
Vice Principal Harris felt his patience finally snapping. He had already been more polite than necessary. Yet Iris refused to compromise.
His expression darkened.
“That’s enough. Do you really think you personally wrote every word in these notes?”

“Fine. We’ll pay for them.”
“Or if you want to transfer classes, we can arrange that too.”
He waved his hand dismissively.
“You can all go back now. The notebook stays here.”
As he spoke, he moved to place the notebook into his desk drawer.
The five students felt their worldviews shatter.
Wasn’t this just theft?

Iris didn’t say a word. She walked to the desk, pulled the notebook from his hand, then ripped it cleanly down the middle.
Rip!
Vice Principal Harris jumped to his feet.
“What are you doing?!”
Such valuable material-
And she tore it apart without hesitation?
“I wrote it, so it’s mine. I can do whatever I want with it.”
Harris laughed from sheer anger. His palm repeatedly smacked against the desk.
“Good! Very good! So this is how you treat your teachers?”
“In that case, forget the competition!”
“None of you are participating!”
Although he spoke to Iris, his eyes drifted toward the five students behind her.
He expected them to persuade her.
The Noir Family was rich.
Maybe Iris didn’t care.
But surely these five students still wanted their competition spots.

Instead-
“We won’t participate then!” Sophie spoke first.
The others immediately followed. “Neither will we!”
“We’re with Iris!”
At their current rate of improvement, they could still get into excellent universities.
But Vice Principal Harris’s behavior was disgusting.
He rejected Iris’s proposal.
Tried to steal her notes.
And even claimed she had paid someone else to write them.
Why should they tolerate that?
The atmosphere became tense enough to snap.
Then Iris finally spoke, her voice was calm.

“If you replace them…” She looked directly at Vice Principal Harris. “…then you might as well cancel the entire competition.”
“Fine.” Vice Principal Harris let out a cold laugh. “Then go ahead and tell them. Go tell the organizers to cancel the competition and see if they even listen to you.”
Even if she really complained, the school’s long-standing relationship with the university organizers would ensure the matter was buried.
As Iris turned and walked away, Sophie hurriedly gathered the torn pages of the notes and chased after her.
“Wait for me, Iris!”
The other four students quickly followed.
“We don’t care about that stupid competition anyway.”
“And don’t worry-we’ll never let anyone print your notes.”
“I know.”
After sending the five students back to class, Iris headed alone to the stairwell.

She scrolled through her contacts and dialed a familiar number.
The call was answered almost immediately.
The voice on the other end sounded genuinely delighted.
“Iris! You finally called! How have you been? Everything okay back home?”

“Not bad.” Iris leaned against the railing. “Did you give scholarship placements to a high school in Capital City?”
There was a brief pause.
“Hold on, let me check.”
A moment later:
“Oh, that. Yeah, that agreement was negotiated with the Capital City government two years ago.”
“Why?”
“You don’t approve? As one of the board members, you have veto authority.”
Iris calmly recounted what had happened in Vice Principal Harris’s office.
The other side exploded.
“What the hell?! How can someone be that disgusting? And he actually threatened you? I’m vetoing it immediately!”
“Okay. I’ll hang up now.”
The instant he heard that, his voice sped up.
“Wait! Talk a little longer! When are you coming back to visit us?”
“Everyone misses you! You built half this place and then dumped all the work on us!”
Iris considered it.
“After the college entrance exams, I’ll come back for a visit.”
“Deal!”
After hanging up, Iris returned to class as if nothing had happened.

Sophie immediately began comforting her.
“It’s okay, Iris. We never really cared about that competition anyway.”
