Chapter 103 Watch Movie Together
Leonardo’s POV:
She nodded cutely, her nose brushing against my shirt ever so softly. “Sure,” she murmured.

The journey back to her apartment felt like it was over in a flash. I carried her all the way, from the car, up the stairs, and used the access on her fingertip to unlock the door. Then I gently settled her onto the plush sofa in the living room. At first, Natalie was a tad bashful, but soon she snuggled up to me, as if this was the most normal thing.
As I bent down to place her on the sofa, my cheek grazed her smooth neck, and I’ felt her body quiver slightly. The faint scent of wine on her, mingled with her natural sweetness, was like a siren’s call. I let out a soft groan and, with a great deal of self-control, planted a gentle kiss on her slightly wrinkled forehead.
The room was bathed in the dim light that filtered in from the city’s neon and the moon outside. The only sound was our breathing.
“Natalie… I…” I stammered, my throat dry. From where she was, she could clearly see the taut muscles beneath my open collar.
“Sorry,” she said, quickly pulling her hand back from my waist as if she’d touched something hot, though her eyes still held a hint of reluctance.
I stood up straight, turning away from her, trying to calm the raging fire and the raw desire within me. Natalie also sat up in a hurry and tried to steer the conversation in a different direction. “By the way, Mr. Sanchez, what made you go there out of the blue? Are things all sorted out? And you’re fully recovered?”
“Yeah, all good. Thanks to you.” My voice was a bit raspy. “Just got back tonight. Grandma told me you were at a gathering, so I thought I’d drop by. That text chat we had the other day… it was left hanging.”
Natalie’s POV:
His words made me recall our previous chat. We were talking about watching movies together when Thorn Pack’s issue popped up and interrupted us. I’d told him I was a huge fan of horror movies, but I was too chicken to watch them alone. When I was a kid in the orphanage, I had friends to watch with me. But as I grew up, without anyone by my side, I never dared to watch them again.
When I first started dating Landon, he knew I wanted to watch a horror movie, so he took me to the movie theater. But he was such a scaredy-cat! He left the theater several times before the movie was even halfway through, and I lost interest, too. After that, we never brought up horror movies again.
I recalled that Leonardo had said he didn’t watch movies very often. I was about to invite him to watch one together, but after knowing that, I just sent an emoji expressing a mix of amusement and helplessness and ended the chat feeling a bit dejected.
Surprisingly, Leonardo sent another message later, saying, “Let’s watch a movie together sometime.” But I missed it.
“Oops, I was kinda sleepy that day and nodded off.” I fibbed, feeling my cheeks heat up. “But, you know, I’d really love to watch a movie with you.” This time, I took a deep breath and locked eyes with him, spilling

In the dimness, I caught a fleeting smile on his face. Those forest-green eyes held gentle warmth in the faint window glow, making my heart skip a beat.
“How about we watch one right away?” Leonardo piped up. He turned to me, his voice softer than usual, and there was a glimmer of eagerness in his eyes.
“Now?” I asked.
“Yeah.” He glanced at his watch. It was only a bit past ten at night. There’d be plenty of time to catch a movie and still head home at a decent hour.
I was dead tired, but his suggestion sent a flutter through my stomach. An idea popped into my head. “Let’s watch a horror flick. Lily sent me a new one a few days back. They say it’s a perfect pick for a moonless night.” I was itching to see if this always-composed Alpha would crack under the pressure.
“Sure thing,” Leonardo agreed without a second thought.
We settled on the couch, and the screen started to glow. After a few minutes, the couch was starting to feel like a torture device. Noticing Leonardo sitting as straight as an arrow even when relaxed, I scooted closer. “Mr. Sanchez, you’ve got nerves of steel, right? You won’t get scared by this, will you? If you’re scared, we can switch it off.” I teased.
“I’m not afraid.” His voice was steady. He looked away from the screen and over at me as I nestled in. The blue light from the screen sharpened his features, making his eyes look even more mysterious.
“Then you’re definitely braver than me. If I start screaming like a banshee later, you gotta protect me.” I put on my sweetest voice.
“Alright,” Leonardo said, then reached over and pulled me closer, so I was leaning against his side. “Lean on me if you’re not comfy. It’ll make you feel better.”
And he was right. Leaning against his solid frame, breathing in his comforting Alpha scent, I didn’t feel a shred of fear despite the creepy images and spine-chilling sounds on the screen. I melted into relaxation. Before I knew it, my eyes were drooping, and I ended up lying flat on his crossed legs.
