Landon’s POV:

We were in the middle of dinner when, out of the blue, a sharp, ear-piercing doorbell cut through the peaceful atmosphere in the dining room like a shriek.

Grace shot a disapproving look at the maid standing at attention. “Do we have any guests coming today?”

“No, Mrs. Grace Richardson,” the maid replied promptly.

Just as the maid finished speaking, the butler scurried in, clutching an unremarkable file bag. “Mr. Benjamin Richardson, there’s a lady outside. She’s all bundled up, wearing a hat, so it’s impossible to make out her face. She simply told me that I must hand these things… over to you.”

I kept on munching away, not giving it a second thought. Every day, there were tons of people trying to get in our good graces, sending all kinds of business proposals or gifts. It was old news to me.

“Here, it’s for you,” Grace said, not thinking twice, and passed the file bag over to Benjamin.

Benjamin’s POV:

Normally, I wouldn’t touch work stuff during dinner, but I was in a pretty good mood that day. So, on a whim, I took the file bag and tore it open.

One glance inside, and my blood ran cold!

There, in the file bag, was a dark-red, leather-bound book with an ancient wolf-head emblem. It was a Soul Bonding Pact, recognized and protected by the Code of the Moon Goddess!

A wave of dread washed over me. I snapped my head up, my eyes narrowing into slits as I stared at

page of the pact. Landon. My fingers were shaking as I flipped open the first

There, in the photo, were Landon and Aaliyah, standing side by side. And right below the photo, there was the official seal of the Temple of the Moon Goddess, clear as day. The date on it? Years ago!

“Son of a bitch!” I exploded with rage, slamming my fist on the solid-wood dining table so forcefully that it shuddered.

Startled out of his wits, Landon jolted to his feet, looking utterly bewildered. “Dad, what’s going on?”

Before the words fully left his mouth, my angry hand lashed out, landing a stinging slap. The sharp crack echoed through the room as his lips split and blood trickled down.

Grace and Louisa were left pale as ghosts. Grace let out a shrill scream and instinctively leaped forward to

shield Landon.

“Benjamin! Have you lost your marbles? Can’t you talk things through without getting physical?” Grace shrieked, her voice thick with tears.

Louisa, leaning on her cane, got up unsteadily. Her voice, hoarse with shock and fury, trembled. “What’s

“Take a gander at this!” I barked, my face as gloomy as a thundercloud. I angrily slapped the damned Soul . Bonding Pact onto the table.

Suddenly, the air in the dining room turned as still as death.

The sight of the familiar dark-red contract made Landon’s eyes bulge. Realization dawned on him in an instant, and he lunged forward to snatch it.

But Grace was quicker. After scanning the contents, her eyes widened in disbelief, and she screeched at Landon, “Is this for real? You and Aaliyah… you’ve already completed the soul-bonding?!”

Louisa’s face lost all color. Her wrinkled hand shook as she took the contract from Grace. One look was enough to leave her speechless, standing there like a statue.

Grace frantically rummaged through the file bag and found more than just the bonding pact. There was Nathan’s birth certificate, the dates matching perfectly, and an Ancestral Tracking report of Nathan and Landon! That sneaky Aaliyah had covered her bases from the moment the kid was born, making sure we couldn’t deny the blood relation.

“This… this…” Grace gasped, clutching her chest.

“Get the hell out of here, all of you!” I bellowed at the terrified servants. The intimidating aura of a high- ranking Alpha filled the room, and they scurried away like rats.

With just our family left in the dining room, my anger reached its peak. I spun around, grabbed the heavy wooden cane with the punishment runes on it, and barked, “This time, I’ll teach this brat a real lesson.”

“Don’t do it, Benjamin! He’s your own flesh and blood!” Louisa wailed

Shaking like a leaf, Grace still stood her ground, screaming and using her tiny frame to block Landon from my wrath.
