Chapter 315 I’m Right Here With You
Natalie’s POV:
Leonardo had reached his limit.
A deafening, inhuman roar burst from his chest! It was filled with pain, rage, and… utter collapse.
The last thread of his reason snapped.

Leonardo’s power exploded. His arm, now grotesquely thick, swept through the air, swatting away Ryan’s attempt to restrain him. His body lunged forward with impossible speed and angles. This wasn’t a human attack, but was the pounce of a beast.
His target was Ryan’s throat.
“Leonardo!” Everyone screamed.
Miranda’s face was pale.
A flash of genuine terror finally appeared in Ryan’s eyes. In that frozen moment when he couldn’t react, the massive, fanged maw, now covered in fine fur, stopped a hair’s breadth from his throat.
But Leonardo didn’t stop himself.
His jaw was blocked by my palm, pressed firmly against his fangs.
At the same time, my other arm wrapped around his thickened neck, pulling back with all my strength to stop the bite.
“Natalie!” Miranda’s sob and Fiona’s gasp merged.
Roger stood up, horrified.
I felt a wet, sharp pain in my palm. Leonardo’s fangs had sliced through my skin. Warm blood welled up immediately, flowing down my wrist.
But Leonardo didn’t release. A threatening growl rumbled in his throat. His cloudy eyes held no glimmer of reason, only unbridled chaos. His strength was terrifying. He strained forward instinctively, the fangs sinking deeper into my flesh.
The pain made me gasp, but I gritted my teeth and didn’t let go.
“Leonardo, what’s wrong with you?” I could feel it. He wasn’t trying to hurt me on purpose. He seemed… gone. As if something more primal and sinister had taken over his mind. He’d lost himself.
The others finally snapped out of their shock and rushed over. Seeing the blood streaming from my hand, seeing Leonardo’s fully shifted features and crazy state, they panicked. They tried to help pull him away, but were afraid that forcing it would make him more frenzied or injure me worse.
Fiona’s voice was tearful. “Leon! Look! Look who this is! It’s Natalie! Your mate! Snap out of it!”
Miranda frantically called his name beside her.

Roger slammed his cane down, shouting sternly.

But Leonardo seemed to hear none of them. His world seemed reduced to nothing but rage and the instinct to attack.
“It’s okay,” I panted, forcing my voice steady. This was for the frantic family and for the mindless beast in my arms. “Leonardo, look at me. It’s me. Natalie.”
Leonardo’s cloudy eyes seemed to flicker. His long eyelashes trembled, but the bulging veins on his forehead and neck showed every muscle in his body was still steel-tight. His strength hadn’t lessened at all.
I could sense every cell in him screaming for violence and destruction.
“Leonardo, don’t be afraid,” I whispered, gently pressing my cheek against the rough, fine-furred side of his face. I ignored the warning growls in his throat and kept my voice soft and gentle. “I’m here. It’s okay now. Really, it’s okay. I know you didn’t mean to. I know you’re hurting. It’s okay. I’m right here with you.”
I could feel his body trembling violently-not from exertion, but from some internal, agonizing struggle.
My blood stained the collar of his silver-gray shirt-a color he favored, like the color of his wolf’s fur.
Fiona couldn’t bear to watch. Tears streamed down her face as she gestured to a stunned Ryan to do something. But Ryan stood rooted, his expression shifting as he watched his son in this fully out of control beast form, watched me clinging to him, blood flowing freely from my hand. His lips moved, but in the end, he did nothing, his eyes complicated.
Suddenly, I did something that stopped everyone’s heart.
I released the bloody hand blocking his jaw. Instead, I wrapped both arms fully around his thick neck and brought my own throat to his still-open, blood-stained fangs.
It was so close I could feel his hot, bloody breath on my skin.
“Leonardo.” I closed my eyes. My voice was impossibly calm.
I didn’t struggle. I didn’t show fear. I simply, with complete trust, exposed my most vulnerable spot to his lethal weapons.
It was like a ritual-a life-risking appeasement, a complete surrender.
Time seemed to freeze.
For that last second, everyone was too stunned to even breathe, let alone make a sound.
Only I held him steadily, as if I had never doubted for a moment that he would truly harm me.
A tiny, pitiful sound, like a whimper from a pup, escaped from deep in Leonardo’s throat.
Then, the iron-tight muscles went slack all at once.
A crash sounded-not a real sound, but the sensation of that unbearable tension suddenly collapsing.
