His words were soft but sincere and heartfelt. I could feel his fierce protectiveness, his desire to keep me safe. I just needed a little comfort, yet he seemed more anxious than I was.

My heart melted completely. Before he could finish, I leaned in and gently kissed his lips. I started with a soft press against his lower lip, then playfully tugged at it. A strand of sunlight fell across the pillow, catching the glint of a silvery thread between our mouths.

Leonardo’s Adam’s apple bobbed. His gaze, looking down at me, instantly darkened, filled with a hot, predatory intensity. He took my hand and guided it to the firm muscles of his abdomen. Then, without another word, he scooped me up, pressed me against the soft headboard, and could hold back no longer. He drove himself deep into me.

“Leonardo…” A muffled gasp escaped me at the sensation.

He had a particular fondness for my collarbone and neck. Every time we were intimate, he would always start there, kissing and nipping with varying intensity, as if marking his exclusive territory, determined to kiss me until my bones turned soft and my mind went hazy.

“Leonardo… are you a sensualist?” In my haze of passion, I suddenly recalled a saying I’d heard somewhere-that men who loved kissing collarbones were the most sensual. I couldn’t help but whisper the question against his ear.

My whisper received no verbal reply. Leonardo’s body instantly tensed, and his breathing grew ragged. My cool fingertips unconsciously traced the scars on his shoulders.

His response translated into a tidal wave of physical sensation. He drove into me, harder and deeper with every thrust. The rhythm pulled me under until I came, completely lost in it.

Leonardo’s POV:

By the time we finally got up, it was already afternoon.

The sunlight was beautiful. While Natalie was in the bathroom freshening up, I changed into a black velvet lounge set. The cut was perfectly tailored, fitting my body and waist perfectly, and it was comfortable to move in. It had no brand logo, but the material and craftsmanship were excellent. I switched to a sportier mechanical watch.

Turning around, I noticed Natalie staring at me intently in the mirror, and her gaze was clear, showing pure appreciation.

I walked over, gently encircling her from behind, resting my chin on her head as we looked at our reflections. A smile tugged at my lips. “Do I look that good?”

“Yes, you do,” she admitted freely, tilting her head to look up at me, her eyes sparkling. “The new clothes look good, too.”

Her praise made me feel pure pleasure. “They are new. The Silver-Maned Pack tailor sent these custom pieces a couple of days ago, which were made specifically for me,” I explained, a sweet warmth spreading inside me because she noticed such a small detail.

My wardrobe was extensive, yet she could tell these were new. “If you like them, I’ll have them make a matching set for us.” The suggestion was almost automatic.

She looked naturally beautiful in the mirror, without any makeup. Standing beside me now in her loungewear, she wasn’t overshadowed by my presence. Instead, she made my usual sharp demeanor softer, and we looked perfectly harmonious together. Her bright, lively eyes even made me look less aloof and intimidating, more… well, softer, a feeling I couldn’t quite name.

She suddenly giggled quietly at our reflection, her smile mischievous and adorable.

“What’s so funny?” I asked softly, my heart itching slightly because of that smile.

“Nothing,” she said, turning around to gently pinch my cheek. “Okay then, a matching set it is. I want to dress like you.”

Her fingers were cool, and her touch was intimate and natural. My face wasn’t particularly full, and my skin was thin, but I loved it when she touched me like this. And yes, it did feel nice to kiss. I let her playfully mess with my face, my gaze never leaving her.

After holding her for a while, I said, “Hungry? Let’s go out for lunch after you’re ready.”

Natalie quickly sensed my plans were different today. I was ready early, clearly intending to go

out.

“Where to? Not too far. The doctor is coming for your follow-up today.” She immediately switched into “supervisor” mode, remembering my medical schedule better than I did.

I’d been taking my medication on time these past few days. The external wounds were mostly healed, leaving only faint scars, and there had been no more fever or other internal issues. But she still worried.

“To Kaelis City,” I said plainly.

She paused and asked, “Why Kaelis City all of a sudden?”

“There’s a project. Thought I’d go take a look,” I said.

“No. You’re not fully recovered yet. Even if it’s work, can’t someone else go?” She frowned, looking at me with righteous seriousness.
