At first, I thought about trying harder to talk him out of this business trip. But seeing how determined he was, I had no choice but to give in. At least he was taking me with him, so I could keep an eye on him.

“It shouldn’t take too long, right?” I asked.

“Just two days,” Leonardo replied calmly.

“Then I won’t pack much. Just two changes of clothes should be enough…” I was in the middle of my sentence when I saw him packing a large selection of my lingerie into the suitcase. And he was picking the ones he liked-the bolder, more provocative sets.

I nearly choked on my own saliva. My cheeks flushed instantly. “Leonardo! You don’t need to bring that many!” I rushed over, waving my hands, signaling that I would pack for myself.

Seeing me about to toss almost all the sets out, Leonardo frowned and stopped my hand, “We can’t take any less. I like them.”

Hearing him say something so blunt, I felt my face grow hot.

I had no idea who bought these lingerie sets. They just appeared in my drawer after he reorganized my closet a few times. They were daringly designed.

I even wondered if Fiona or Miranda had picked them out. But when I thought about how proper and steady they both usually were, they didn’t seem like the type to add this kind of spice for Leonardo and me.

So… did Leonardo actually have this preference himself?

No wonder every time he fetched my underwear before a shower, he always picked these sets.

I always ended up changing back into my normal ones. I was too embarrassed to wear such sexy lingerie around the house.

Seeing the pleading look in Leonardo’s eyes, my heart softened. In the end, we compromised and packed just one of them.

I turned my face away, my cheeks hot, and mumbled, “Leonardo, you’re really… such a perv.”

“Am I?” He seemed unbothered by the label. Gazing solemnly at the “prize” finally placed in the suitcase, he stated in a deep voice, “Just an Alpha’s nature.”

I was speechless.

My test results came back two days ago. The doctor pointed to a few shaded areas, explaining that the internal bruising had mostly cleared, and my muscles and bones were healing well. Only a small, faint shadow remained near my stomach, and the doctor recommended a more thorough follow-up scan. I instructed him not to tell Natalie.

The reports I gave Natalie were a filtered version, all stating “recovery progressing well, continue resting.” But she was still worried, repeatedly asking the doctors for confirmation. It wasn’t until several of them assured her I was healing nicely and just needed continued care that she finally relaxed.

Aaron drove us to the airport after we left the hospital. I had arranged for a private jet this morning. Before boarding, Natalie double-checked the medication she packed for me.

Aaron had prepared a light meal. I opened a bottle of champagne to accompany our food and poured two glasses. Natalie immediately pulled both of them in front of herself, her tone leaving no room for argument. “You’re on medication. No alcohol for you.”

I smiled, my gaze turning sweet as honey, “Whatever you say, dear.”

“Sweet talker.” Natalie nodded, satisfied, and took a small sip.

“Does sweet talk earn a reward?” I leaned closer, my voice dropping.

Natalie’s POV:

“A reward?” I set down my glass, confused. Before I could react, his lips were on mine. The kiss wasn’t hurried, but it was deep and lingering, carrying the faint, heady scent of champagne. He tasted the trace of champagne on my tongue. Coming to my senses, I gave his solid chest a light push. “I said no alcohol for you…”

He didn’t answer. Instead, he moved to sit right beside me, picked up a small piece of pastry with a fork, and brought it to my lips. “Let me make it up to you. Let me feed you.”

I was almost bewildered by such excessive pampering. Was he planning to treat me like a pup? I mentally complained, but my mouth obediently took the bite. His usually sharp eyes had softened into nothing but warm light, and I found myself completely unable to resist.

Aaron seemed to approach to report something, but hearing our quiet murmurs, he tactfully retreated. He could barely recognize that Leonardo was really the same stern, imposing Silver- Maned Pack Alpha.
