Samuel massaged his temples. Aaliyah’s pathetic act was so embarrassing that even he, an outsider, couldn’t stand watching it.
His will to fight drained away completely. He simply gave up.
“A beaten dog shouldn’t growl so much. It’s unpleasant,” Chloe remarked with a smile.
Just as the meeting room was about to descend into chaos, the door opened.
Clear, decisive footsteps rang out on the carpet.
The guards at the door and everyone standing inside froze for a moment, then immediately bowed their heads. “Ms. Anderson!”
The voice beside them drew everyone’s attention to the entrance.
Samuel also looked up. Natalie had arrived, looking like she’d come straight from a journey, two attendants flanking her. “Natalie… how did you…” he stammered.
Natalie had clearly just rushed back to the Scott Group. She was dressed in casual clothes, her long, soft hair loose over her shoulders. She looked pretty and gentle.
But despite her simple appearance, the moment Natalie stepped into the meeting room, her presence filled the space.
Unlike Aaliyah’s forced pretense, Natalie now seemed relaxed, almost languid, not glancing at anyone else.
Aaliyah thought Natalie would come straight for her, but right now, she wasn’t even in Natalie’s line of sight.
Natalie walked to Liam’s side, retrieved her USB drive, and examined it.
She didn’t speak. The meeting room fell dead silent. Even Chloe held her breath, not daring to greet her.
The tense, severe atmosphere-that was the invisible pressure Natalie brought with her.
Samuel’s throat moved. He tried several times to say something but held back.

Chapter 385 Completely Irreparable
I was wrapped in overwhelming defeat and humiliation. I even forgot my fear.

I wished I could vanish into the floor. I pinched my thigh hard, trying to convince myself this was just a nightmare.
But no matter how much I suffered, every passing second only made the pain in worse-sharper, more unbearable with each breath.
My gaze was glued to Natalie against my will. I didn’t want to look at her at all.

Her appearance hadn’t changed much, but the chasm between us now felt unbridgeable.
Natalie had transformed effortlessly into the dazzling heir of a top Alpha bloodline.
The world she inhabited was one I could never reach, no matter how hard I tried!
I remembered that afternoon on campus, the one that tangled the fates of the three of us.
Natalie was simple and clean back then, her beautiful features still carrying a hint of youth, not as stunningly captivating as now.
I had once sighed over what a beauty she was, pitying her as a mixed-race orphan with no one to rely on.
When Landon pulled Natalie into our romantic world, he claimed he saw her effort and talent.
I consoled myself that she was just a bit clever but foolish and dull, incapable of winning Landon’s love.
But now… fate had come back to bite me, right in the heart.
I had always compared myself to her, in a contest I was certain to win. Now it was clear I had lost completely-every last bit of my dignity was gone.
Natalie finally looked at me. Her gaze was cool and detached, so calm it was unsettling. The pressure of a top Alpha bloodline had started to come off her, making me, a high-level Omega, instinctively want to pull back.
“Aaliyah, we meet again. I never expected to see you at the Scott Group.” Her voice was flat, betraying little emotion.
My body trembled. I wanted to respond with equal coolness, even sarcasm, but I couldn’t. I gripped the edge of the table, swallowing several times, still unsure how to answer.
I was completely unprepared. In front of the Gallop Energy team, in front of these truly powerful high-ranking werewolves of the Scott Group, I felt like a clown. All the elegance, composure, and pride I’d so carefully maintained lay shattered.

Finished
A remnant of reason screamed at me to stay calm. My eyes flickered back to the USB drive Natalie was fiddling with.
It was impossible. Maybe they were just bluffing! Yes, that must be it.
Why would Landon give it back to her? The Thorn Pack was on the brink now. Landon could only rely on me.
If Natalie really had proof, Liam would have presented it directly earlier, not tried to scare me with insinuations!
And Chloe’s mysterious act was nothing!
“Natalie, I know we’ve had our personal issues in the past, but…” I mustered the courage to speak, though my words faltered halfway. I took a deep breath to steady myself. “But you represent the Scott Group now. You should separate personal feelings from business, right?”
Natalie’s POV:
Her voice was trembling. I found it privately amusing.
The graceful, goddess-like professor from our school days, the Omega who had driven Landon mad, now looked so wretched she was almost unrecognizable.
I despised Aaliyah’s vile morals, but as a woman, seeing what she had reduced herself to for a man also made me pity her.
I replied calmly, “Aaliyah, it’s precisely because of the past that I’m giving you a chance. Liam already said if you admit your mistake and are willing to make amends, things might not be completely irreparable.”
