"I have the time, but I can't exactly ask her out on a date," Tristan complained. "Whenever we meet, it's strictly business. Your sister is a total workaholic. I'm completely out of options. I'm terrified I'll lose to my brother and become a laughingstock. So, I need my future brother-in-law to lend a hand. What do you say?"
Brandon didn't think much of it at all.
A man should fight his own battles when it came to romance. If you needed outside help to get a girl, you were probably doomed to fail anyway.
If it weren't for the factory machinery he desperately needed, Brandon wouldn't have even considered helping a guy like Tristan.
Swallowing his annoyance, Brandon forced a smile. "You're right, this situation definitely calls for a little backup. It's fine. I'm setting up the new factory anyway. I'll find an excuse to invite Lillian out. The few of us can grab dinner, preferably on the weekend. We'll have more time to talk and let you guys connect."
Tristan nodded eagerly. "Thank you so much, Brandon."
However, Tristan conveniently said absolutely nothing about the factory equipment.
Brandon got the message loud and clear. Tristan wanted to see real results before he opened his wallet or made any calls.
Not wanting to waste time, Brandon cut to the chase. "How about this Saturday? I'll do my best to bring Lillian out."
