Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 268

Bella was busy with work, so they only chatted for a few minutes before hanging up.

Sabrina was overjoyed and had the household staff start preparing the ingredients for dinner.

She was no stranger to putting on a good show; she’d been doing it for years.

In many ways, she was quite seasoned.

From selecting the ingredients to deciding on the menu, she personally instructed the kitchen staff on every detail.

The kitchen had long-time employees who knew the tastes of the two young masters, but Sabrina insisted they follow her instructions to the letter.

For instance, when the two sons returned for dinner that evening, the staff was to casually mention that their mother had personally arranged everything.

After making all the arrangements and waiting for the ingredients and fruit to be ready, Sabrina took out her phone and snapped some pictures.

She immediately sent them to Martin, telling him that their sons were moving back in and she had prepared all their favorite dishes. She urged him to come home early for dinner.

When Martin saw the photos, he was still in a fog. Why were they suddenly moving back?

Still, it was a good thing.

With the two of them no longer fighting with him, the company would be more stable.

While Martin thought this, Brandon was secretly continuing to contact shareholders to secure his position.

Although Lillian was at home, news reached her ears quickly.

She soon heard that her two brothers’ luggage had been moved from the hotel back to the Mercer family mansion.

However, she wasn't particularly concerned about that.

Perhaps in another two or three months, Noah’s illness could be completely cured.

As her thoughts wandered, the sound of a car engine below snapped her out of it. Lillian reflexively stood up and walked to the window.

It had been a week. Leonard should be back by now, right?

Ethan had told her that Leonard would probably be back in about a week.

It should be any day now. So, whenever she heard a car, she instinctively went to check.

Leonard’s physical condition was also very poor. He had apparently given a lot of blood for her treatment back in Valerion.

Although Lillian never understood why Leonard’s blood had some effect on her illness, the fact that he had donated blood for her in his condition and then disappeared afterward was troubling. For the past week, Lillian had tried to contact Leonard in various ways.
