Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 292

After his father finished his tirade, Sebastian finally spoke up. “She’s already sick. Yelling at me won’t change anything. The most important thing now is to bring her back here. I want her to live at home, surrounded by family. Maybe we can even hire some experienced doctors from abroad to see her.

We were married, after all. I don’t want her to die young.”

Old Mr. Blake retorted, “So you do remember you were married. You pushed her to this point, and now is your chance to atone. You’d better remember this: the future of the Blake family depends entirely on how you treat her.

A man who mistreats his wife will never be successful.”

Sebastian’s brow furrowed slightly. The words “Lillian and I are divorced” were stuck in his throat, impossible to say.

His father glanced at him, annoyed. “Get out. Go bring her back immediately.”

Sebastian knew his limits. “Dad, if I’m the one who goes, she won’t come back with me.”

Old Mr. Blake sighed. For the future of the Blake family, it seemed he would have to handle this personally.

“Fine, so be it. Your mother and I will go get her.”

With that, he immediately ordered the butler to prepare the car.

Lillian had started going back to the office regularly.

She wanted to speed things up. After updating the Li Algorithm twice, it could now perform calculations at maximum speed.

This was the first step; she had to complete it before moving on to the next.

Her low-altitude transport project was now almost mature. With Victor’s help, the project hadn’t fallen behind during the half-month she was undergoing treatment.

Last night, she had invited her professor to the company to discuss her current plans.

He had been full of praise for her project and even offered to help her secure some official sponsorships and investments.

When Emma brought in a glass of freshly squeezed juice, she saw Lillian smelling the coffee and couldn’t help but smile.

“Ms. Mercer, you can’t even have one sip?”

Lillian replied, “A good patient follows doctor’s orders. I want to get better soon, too.

Did you make this juice yourself today?”

Emma said, “The secretary made it. I just had something to report, so I brought it in for you. There’s someone downstairs looking for you. I sent the secretary to check it out.”

Lillian nodded, took the juice, and listened to Emma’s report about the drone manufacturing plant.

After listening carefully, Lillian thought for a moment. “Let’s wait until the weekend. Victor and I will find some time to visit the factory then.”
