Just as Brandon arrived at the Litech NaLabs building in a rage, Lillian happened to be walking out.
He was about to march over and grab her when a Maybach pulled up in front of him.
Brandon watched as several bodyguards in black suits escorted Lillian, opened the car door for her, and saw her off. Then, the bodyguards' vehicles formed a protective convoy around the Maybach, leading and following it.
Brandon was stunned. He had only brought two bodyguards with him and hadn't even had a chance to give them an order. Since when did Lillian have a security detail?
A Maybach and bodyguards. Brandon replayed Sebastian’s phone call in his mind. Could his sister really be so captivating that she had already won over Nathan?
At this thought, Brandon decided it was not the time for rash actions. He needed to report back to the family first, discuss the situation, and then decide on a course of action.
After Brandon relayed everything to Martin, he received new instructions: follow the car and see what was going on.
Brandon followed, and to his surprise, the destination was the hospital. He had just left that very hospital with Bella this morning.
He couldn't understand why Lillian would be coming here.
“Sir, should we follow her inside?” one of his bodyguards asked. Brandon worried he would be immediately recognized if he went in himself. Since the bodyguards were strangers to Lillian, it made more sense for them to follow her.
With a live video feed from his bodyguard's phone, Brandon monitored Lillian’s every move. He watched her go up to the top floor and stop in front of the blue room door.
Seeing this, Brandon’s mind went blank. He had just learned this morning what an important figure was staying in that room.
What was Lillian doing here? Had she also heard the news about the VVIP?
But to stand right at the door of that room... was she actually planning to go inside? Her? Brandon was on the verge of scoffing.
But then, the door opened. Through the camera lens, Brandon watched, wide-eyed, as Lillian walked right in.
“She just... went in?”
Brandon nearly jumped out of his skin right there in front of the hospital.
When did Lillian get to know the tycoon from Sevria Bay? And the head of such a powerful, top-tier family at that?
After the door closed, the bodyguard called Brandon for further instructions.
Such an important person, such a crucial connection, and she never once thought of using it to contribute to the family.
What a disgrace! After I raised her in luxury, giving her the very best of everything, this is how she repays us?”
Martin had spent the entire day consumed with thoughts of the “Montrose family from Sevria Bay,” trying to figure out how to make contact, how to pull strings. He had even discreetly asked many of his old friends, but none of them had the right connections.
And now, to his astonishment, he found out his own daughter had this ability all along.
As Martin’s temper flared, Brandon immediately said, “Dad, I’ll go to the hospital myself right now and wait for her. When she comes out, I’ll tie her up and drag her home if I have to.”
Martin grunted in agreement, then quickly corrected himself. “No! Brandon, watch your words. You will not drag her back. You will politely invite your sister back. Invite her, do you understand?”
Brandon caught on. “Right. I’ll go invite my sister back.”
Martin continued, “Be mindful of your attitude. And tell Colin to come home early and be nice to his sister. I’ll have Sabrina see to it that the kitchen prepares some of her favorite dishes.”
Brandon assured him, “Don’t worry, Dad. I guarantee I’ll complete the mission and politely invite Lillian home.”
