"The house has been robbed. Aren't you going to come back and see?"

With that, Bella hung up. Brandon actually did rush back.

On the way, Colin remarked that with so many people at the house, it was impossible for a thief to get in. He wondered if Lillian had come back and taken something.

But as they entered the gates, they were greeted by a scene of utter chaos.

Part of the mess consisted of trash left behind by the servants as they moved Lillian's belongings. The other part was from Bella smashing things around the house in a fit of rage.

When Colin got out of the car, he didn't even know where to step. He turned to Brandon and asked, "Brandon, what happened? Was the house ransacked?"

Brandon's expression was already grim. "Where is everyone? Why is everyone hiding? The house is a mess, and no one is cleaning it up?"

Normally, after Brandon shouted like that, a servant would have appeared to answer. But after more than ten seconds, there was no response.

Brandon kicked aside some porcelain shards and trash blocking his path and strode into the main hall. The hall was also littered with pieces of broken china, vases, and fruit bowls.

"Where is everyone? Where the hell did they all go?"

Brandon was losing his patience. Still, no one answered.

Brandon demanded, "What do you mean? Why is the house like this? You were here, and now there's no one. If I don't ask you what happened, who do I ask?"

Bella gently swirled the wine in her glass, took a sip, and scoffed. "Your dear sister has some impressive tricks up her sleeve. The household staff was unhappy that she was kicked out, and now they're fiercely standing up for her. Her rooms were stripped, and all the furniture and belongings were looted. But don't worry, I've already called the police. They've taken away the ringleader, Martha. What a coincidence, it was the same officer who arrested your precious sister yesterday. Now there isn't a single servant left in the house. If you don't come back to clean up this mess, who will?"

Brandon finally understood.

He looked at Bella furiously. "Are you insane? You called the police on Martha? Martha works for Grandmother. Who gave you the right to touch anyone in this household? And what did you do? Even with Grandmother gone these past two years, all the servants have performed their duties diligently, without slacking off for a moment. Bella, are you and your mother not happy unless you tear this family to shreds?"

"We're tearing this family apart? Brandon, you can't just say things like that. How have my mother and I wronged you? Dad kicked Lillian out of the family, and she signed the papers in front of a lawyer to leave with nothing. But then she incites the servants to revolt. Go upstairs and see for yourselves what they did to her room!"
