Sabrina was too frantic to think about anything else. “Alright, alright. You get some rest, Bella. I’ll be waiting for your good news tomorrow.”

During their short conversation, the phone in Sabrina’s hand, set to silent, had vibrated several times. It was undoubtedly her friends, calling to ask about their money. They had all invested their life savings and were terrified of losing it all.

After returning to her room, Sabrina was busy taking calls and explaining the situation. Fortunately, she had a capable daughter, and her reassurances were enough to placate them for now. For the first time all day, she was able to get a peaceful night's sleep.

Finally, Martin and his sons had no choice but to compromise.

“Brandon, do we really have to make Sabrina apologize?” Martin asked. “If she apologizes publicly, what about Bella and Sebastian’s wedding?”
