Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 667

Good-looking, but not as strong as him.

That part, at least, didn't seem to fit Lillian's usual standards. He wondered when she had started appreciating such weaklings.

A scrawny wimp.

Sebastian had no intention of engaging with them. This Leonard was an unfamiliar face.

He was probably just an ordinary person in Northwyn.

He likely assumed Lillian was some rich woman and was using his looks to latch onto her.

A pretty boy with no real ability wasn't even worthy of comparison to him.

Bella's gaze, however, was fixed on Lillian.

At the same time, she kept trying to look away from her.

She just couldn't understand where Lillian got the money to make a knockout bid at the auction and snatch away the item she had wanted.

It was too strange.

Shouldn't she have been bankrupt long ago…

No, Bella remembered. Lillian should still have the money from selling her mother's shares.

Although she had left the Mercer family with nothing, she had taken her mother's jewelry and other heirlooms with her long ago.

That stuff was quite valuable.

No wonder Lillian could still have such a handsome man by her side and show off at an auction. So that was it.

Hmph. But at the rate she was spending, that money was probably almost gone. By now, she must be broke, right?

Especially after today!

Lillian was baffled. Was Bella really so petty as to fuss over a seat? It was so small-minded, so unsophisticated.

She really didn't know what Sebastian was thinking. He knew that with Bella's background, her perspective would always be limited, no matter how far she'd come. He should have kept her hidden away, but instead, he brought her out to embarrass himself.

And what an embarrassment it was.

Leonard chimed in, "If the future Mrs. Blake likes it so much, I'm sure Mr. Blake will get you the front-row center seat next time."

Sebastian's face darkened. He already looked down on Leonard, and now this guy was being sarcastic with him?

He would have to return the favor.

He deliberately scanned Leonard from head to toe, then said to Lillian, "Your taste in men isn't very good. I didn't know you had a thing for kept pretty boys who live off women."

Lillian looked at him and replied coolly, "My taste in men used to be pretty bad. But it's much better now!"
