I held my breath as he stalked closer to kael and I, a flicker of something dark swimming across his face as he dragged his dark eyes over our body. When he approached us, he bowed, but I didn’t miss the proud bounce in his steps or the way the smirk on his face widened as he greeted;
“Alphas,” he drawled, a tinge of mockery in his
tone.
Goddess help me, but I knew that I couldn’t stand him. I couldn’t stand his face. His smirks. His prideful strides… and I certainly could not stand how he was usually so invested in matters concerning my brothers and I.
Hades, I also knew that he must’ve overheard the
conversation between my brothers and I, and

knowing the nincompoop, he was sure to use that
to his advantage.
I let my eyes drag over his body before I slowly looked up to meet his gaze. I then spat; “Micah.”
And yes, I was elated when he frowned slightly, the corners of his lips curving downward as he hissed; ‘Aye, fancy meeting you both here.”
Something about those words rubbed off on me in the wrongest ways. I turned to glance at Kael who at the moment was actively ignoring Micah and I, and then I turned back to face him, my sour mood slipping into my expression as I said; “It’s my house.”
And you shouldn’t use words like that around
here.
It’s our house… and you aren’t welcome here.
“Oh.”
My eyes met his and held as I rasped out the next

words, and without even an iota of hesitation, I hissed; “…and I think you’ve overstayed your welcome.”
That made Kael turn to look at me in surprise, his eyes wide while a small smile played on the corners of his lips. He didn’t even need to speak for me to know that he was in support while
Micah looked like a fat dick had just been forced down his throat.
When his eyes met mine again, I saw the anger… the hatred. The humiliation. And so help me God, I didn’t care; so I continued;
“We’ve signed the transfer of assets documents. We’ve given you your share of our father’s properties. This house right here belongs to my brothers and I, and we have decided that we do not want you around anymore.”
“Why?” He had the audacity to ask. “Is it because you fear that I know that you are all in love with

your wife’s twin sister?” He asked, causing my
heart to plummet into the depths of my stomach before it lurched back into my chest.
I knew that I should ignore his words but I couldn’t help the panic I instantly felt especially since Leilani was now concerned. I hissed; “You’ve gone crazy.”
Hell, I wanted to smack his head against the wall when he shrugged nonchalantly, an almost imperceptible smile gracing his lips as he muttered; “You know I’m not.”
“Well, you are if you believe the gibberish you just spewed.”
For a moment, silence reigned and by now, Kael had come to stand beside me, his arms folded across his chest as he glared at Micah who for
some reason was unafraid.
His eyes met ours defiantly and after a moment of awkward silence, he finally said; “So you’re

telling me that my words are gibberish? You’re trying to pretend that you’re not in love with Ms Leilani? That the marriage between you three and her sister isn’t a sham?”
And as soon as I heard that question, I knew that I was done listening to him. Done paying him any attention. Done stroking his ego.
I turned away from him but stopped when his voice rang out again. He hissed; “You did a fake wedding just to inherit your father’s properties. That’s theft.”
“What’s theft is the fact that you think you had any right to any of these in the first place.” I spat, but he simply shrugged again, his smile returning to his face as he continued;
“Is your wife really pregnant? Or did you put her to it the same way she faked being pregnant months ago?”
And that… that made me so mad. His words, so

lightly said, set my blood on fire. My hands balled
into fists as I turned around fully to face him, but just as I was about to say the first words that came to mind, he drawled;
“I literally heard you admit your unwavering love for Leilani. I had it recorded too…” he trailed off, and goddess, the more he spoke, the more
irritated I became.
“…and I get you. Really I do… because who the fuck would see the more precious twin and not fall in love with her? I for one is heads over heels
in love with her.” He finished, but as soon as he said those words, he fell forward, landing face down on the floor.
A stifled gasp slipped past my lips when I looked up and found Caelum standing over him, a thunderous expression on his face.
“What did you just say?” He gritted out, his voice like stone. “You… you love Leilani?”

Micah who seemed taken aback took a moment
to recover and when he finally did, he nodded
once. “Yes.”
“You’re in love with our mate?” Caelum hissed,
stupidly oblivious to the tight situation he was backing us into by being so openly possessive of Leilani.
Micah probably noticed this too because then he smiled slowly and sadistically. He drawled; “Yes, and I intend to pursue her.”
He was trying to rile us up…
And goddess he was winning.
He was winning so badly.
Now, all I could see was red. My teeth were grinding against each other so painfully that I could hear the sound of my bones cracking. My wolf too was tethering too close to the surface.
I spat; “Caelum…”

But Caelum, the ever stubborn mule, seemed a lot
angrier than I was. He rasped; “You intend to pursue her?”
But Micah didn’t respond right away. He simply rose to his feet, brushed off the dust from his clothes and drew himself to his full height, his eyes alight with mockery as he whispered;
“Why do you seem so bothered by it?” He asked sassily, and God help me, I wanted to wipe off that smile from his face.
I pushed forward, intent on doing that when a voice suddenly spoke from behind me. It was Kael. He said; “That’s none of your business.” but stopped when his eyes darted toward the door to find Chalice already standing there with her
hands on her stomach and her eyes filled with
tears.
She looked slightly haggard, dressed in the most hideous large dress I’ve ever seen in my entire

life. Her hair was hidden behind a dark ugly scarf and her hands shook slightly as she glanced between us.
“What’s happening here?” I heard her ask softly and at the tone of her voice, everyone turned to look at her including Micah whose eyes widened slightly.
He spat; “Your mates love your sister.”
“Oh,” Chalice gasped, not entirely surprised. And then she turned to me and smiled softly, her eyes lowered as she whispered; “…I know, and that’s why I am here to ask for a divorce.”
