Chapter 10
“This is the ancient Moonstone circlet Andrew gifted me
“This is the pack’s healing herb patent Caleb entrusted to me.”
“This is the century–old Wolfsbane root Mason gave me
“This is the sacred claw pendant Jared presented me
“This is the Champion’s Fang, awarded to me by Alexander”
“This is the Alpha’s Trophy, bestowed upon me by my other brother,”
I smiled.
“With all this, is it enough?”
Their faces shifted.
These were my most cherished possessions, now discarded as worthless,
Jared’s wolf felt a surge of cold fury,“what is Isabella doing?”
He roared, “Isabella, we’re trying to help you atone! How can you be so ungrateful?”
My eyes hardened,
“What sins have I committed?”
Jared was taken aback, then enraged.
He lashed out, striking my face.
I was already weak, the blow sending me reeling into the den wall.
My wolf shrieked in pain and humiliation.
“Ugh!” I groaned, biting back the pain.
“Sis, are you alright? Don’t hide your pain because you’re angry. Tell us what hurts. And don’t be mad at Jared. What you did hurt us. Just apologize to Jared. He acted impulsively, but he means well.”
“You’re being unreasonable! You did wrong, and we want an apology
Is that too much?” Jared retorted, rubbing his paw, ignoring my injury.
Everyone focused on me, oblivious to Emily’s deathly pale face,
“Did she remember? But she was drugged, her memories lost, right?” she thought
Only I noticed.
I sneered, looking at Emily.
“What if Marcus’s death wasn’t an accident?”
“Ah!!” Emily’s body convulsed.
She covered her ears, curled into a fetal position, screaming.
“I’m done!” Her wolf snarled, “She remember everything!”
