Chapter 141
I stood on the raised dais, the moonstone trophy gleaming under the soft light of the moonstone lamps.
“Congratulations to Luna Miller for winning this year’s Silvermoon Pack Weaving Competition, Chief Grey announced, his voice booming across the Great Hall. Your work flawlessly blends the ancient artistry of our ancestors with modern Moon–spun
techniques.”
In that moment, I felt a sense of detachment, as if watching a scene unfold in a dream.
In my past life, I’d yielded my place to Emily, watching from the sidelines as the imposter claimed the prize.
Now, I’d finally reclaimed what was rightfully mine. My wolf howled silently, a triumphant cry of joy and vindication.
Thunderous applause erupted, a wave of sound that washed over me.
Under the soft glow of the moonstones, I looked towards Grayson, seated in the front row.
My eyes welled up. This alpha had taken me in during my darkest hour, offering unwavering support and affection.
Grayson watched me intently, his eyes shining with pride, a genuine smile gracing his lips. He was proud of my growth, happy that I’d finally received the recognition I deserved.
His wolf’s scent, strong and comforting, reached me across the distance.
At the healing den, Caleb lay in his bed, his breathing steady. Jared and Alexander waited outside, their expressions grave.
“Andrew will return in a week,” Alexander said, lowering his communicator.“He instructed us to care for Caleb.”
Jared, his face grim, nodded. Then, his communicator vibrated; his expression darkened as he answered.
He hung up, his face grimmer than before.
“I must return to the pack; the Skyrunner is malfunctioning again, and the pack technicians cannot repair it.”
Jared’s voice grew sharper, his claws digging into his palm. “Isabella used to handle these repairs, but she left without warning; Caleb is injured, and she hasn’t even come to visit!” The memory of the credits spent on past repairs only fueled his anger.
A cold glint flashed in Alexander’s eyes.“Isabella caused Emily’s banishment and Caleb’s injury. Andrew adores Emily most of all; he won’t let her escape unscathed!”
His wolf’s growl was low and menacing.
Jared returned to the Skyrunner hangar and was immediately met with a cacophony of agitated howls.
“The wiring is completely fried; it’s beyond repair!”
The competition is next week. There’s no time to order new parts.”
“Should we switch to the backup Skyrunner?”
“The backup’s performance is inadequate!”
The Skyrunner was disassembled. Seeing Jared, the pack engineers rushed towards him.
‘Captain, we cannot repair it,” an engineer said, handing him a report. The main control board and power system are completely destroyed; even with replacements, it will take a week to recalibrate.”

Jared scanned the report, his brow furrowed. This was their primary Skyrunner, specially modified for the competition. Without it, victory was impossible.
“This fault is incredibly intricate,” an engineer stated, wiping sweat from his brow. We tried various solutions, but nothing worked.”
Jared stood before the worktable, his face dark with worry. The competition loomed, and this setback had severely damaged morale.
His wolf snarled, frustrated and anxious.
