Chapter 143
“How the hell does Isabella dare do this?!”
His wolf howled in fury, a raw, untamed sound echoing in his mind.
Jared stared at the computer screen, his face so dark it seemed to absorb the surrounding light. The accounts showed the pack’s silver had been siphoned off multiple times, totaling over two million silver coins!
The scent of betrayal hung heavy in the air, thick and suffocating.
The pack members held their breath, not daring to make a sound. A heavy silence filled the room; broken only by the hum of the computer’s cooling fan.
Suddenly, Jared jumped up, knocking his chair over with a loud crash. His wolf was a tempest
“Isabella!” he gritted his teeth, his eyes blazing with anger.
His wolf’s snarl was palpable.

rage.
Before anyone could react, he stormed out. He rushed home, opening the car door–a sleek, black vehicle pulled by two powerful direwolves–striding to Smith’s territory, not even bothering to close the car door.
His wolf urged him forward, fueled by the burning need for answers.
He clenched his fists, pounding on the massive oak door.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
The sound echoed through the entire territory.
Smith’s attendant, startled, quickly checked the visual link. Seeing who it was, he hurried to find me. I stepped outside swiftly, worried
the door might get damaged–I cared about that door. I stood at the gate, coldly staring at Jared without opening it.
“What do you want?” I asked indifferently. My wolf, calm and composed, watched him with predatory amusement.
Through the door, Jared pointed at me, his voice filled with anger and accusation.
His wolf was desperate for the truth.
“Isabella, where did you transfer the pack’s silver?”
I asked coldly, “What silver?” My wolf was enjoying the game.
“Don’t play dumb!” he roared.“Millions are missing; you managed the accounts; who else could it be?”
I chuckled.“So it’s about this silver.”
My wolf smirked, reveling in his frustration.
I manipulated my communicator; tapped a few times, and his communicator buzzed. I nodded towards his communicator.
He opened the file I’d sent; it was the King pack’s financial records. It was a complete ledger, very different from what he’d just seen.“What’s this?” he frowned.
“This is the original backup of the accounts. I have a habit of backing up every ledger I handle, just in case someone tries to tamper with

I hadn’t done this before, but after my rebirth, I knew Emily would frame me, so I prepared in advance.
He instinctively defended Emily. “You mean Emily did this? Why? She’s not short of silver! But you…”
My expression turned icy as I stared at him.
My wolf’s fur bristled with barely controlled fury.

He stopped speaking; avoiding my gaze. He lowered his head, examining the records, his expression darkening. The accounts were different from what he’d seen at the pack.
He looked up, suspicious and distrustful, his tone sarcastic.“You think you can fool me with this ledger? Emily was spoiled rotten–she’s never lacked for anything. How could she possibly steal from the pack?”
His wolf was still clinging to his belief in Emily’s innocence.
I sneered, my gaze sharp.“Since you trust Emily so much, log into the pack’s secure banking system and check the transactions.”
“I don’t need to!” he gritted his teeth, his fists clenched.“I believe Emily; she wouldn’t do this!” His wolf was stubbornly refusing to accept the truth.
