Chapter 173
I blinked my lively eyes, my long lashes fluttering. I looked at Grayson, my eyes bright and determined.
“Alpha Grayson, don’t worry. Those who wronged me know the sting of my claws. But I won’t dwell on it; I’ll fight back!” My wolf felt a surge of righteous anger, its fur bristling. A cold smirk curled my lips; my eyes flashed.“I’ve traced the scent; it leads to the Miller pack.”
My wolf’s senses tingled with the satisfaction of the hunt.
Coldness flashed in Grayson’s eyes; his thin lips pressed into a hard line.
His wolf, however, felt a deep unease at the potential fallout. But I didn’t notice the storm brewing.
I continued, “I’ve posted the results of the design competition to the Howlnet.” My smile sharpened, cold as frost.“They questioned my originality? Let them see who the true plagiarist is!” My wolf howled inwardly, anticipating the retribution. I’d use this to expose Emily’s theft and bring her down.
Grayson looked at me, my confidence radiating, and he couldn’t help but smile.
I was no longer the timid she–wolf who endured everything silently. His wolf admired her strength.
He gently ruffled my fur.“Leave this to me. You should focus your energy on more important matters; let the PR den handle this.”
I nodded obediently. My wolf, however, still yearned to see justice served.
Grayson left my office; his gentle smile vanished instantly, replaced by a sharp chill.
His wolf shifted, the Alpha’s authority returning.
“Get the PR and IT dens to my office.”
His voice resonated with the cold power of an Alpha.
Meanwhile, Jared smelled the stench of betrayal on the Howlnet; he knew Alexander was behind it.
He rushed home, bursting into Alexander’s den, grabbing him by the scruff of his neck and lifting him.“You did this, right?” Jared’s voice was strained with rage. His wolf bared its teeth.
“So what?” Alexander chuckled, defiant.
“Luna Isabella got Emily banished; shouldn’t I teach her a lesson?”
Jared’s voice rose.“Did you consider the consequences? You’re trying to destroy her!”
“So what?” Alexander remained calm, his voice cold and chilling. “She deserves it. She opposed us.”
“Alexander, you’re mad!” Jared roared. “She’s our sister! How can you do this to her?”
“Sister?” Alexander scoffed.“I only recognize Emily as my sister. Luna Isabella? What is she?” His wolf growled, showing its contempt. “You….” Jared trembled, taking a deep breath, trying to calm himself.“Alexander, stop. Don’t make any more mistakes.”
“Luna Isabella is wrong!” Alexander’s voice suddenly grew intense.“If she hadn’t gotten Emily banished, things wouldn’t be like this!”
Just then, the Howlnet exploded with news accusing Emily of plagiarism in the international design competition. The Miller pack’s recent designs were all Emily’s. She hadn’t even graduated yet but was hyped as a “rising star” by the Miller pack. The report detailed irrefutable evidence–design comparisons, timelines, everything- undeniable proof.
