Chapter 212

Grayson, a powerful Alpha of the Silvermoon Pack, strode from the longhouse, a beige cashmere cloak draped over his arm. His aura was sharp, intimidating even to Andrew, another Alpha, who instinctively stilled.
My wolf felt a thrill, a low growl rumbling in my chest, even as I tried to appear calm.
Grayson approached, unfolding the cloak and carefully draping it around my shoulders. His touch, though gentle, sent shivers down my spine, a potent mix of warmth and apprehension. His wolf was clearly marking me, a subtle display of possession.
He adjusted the collar, hiding my neck–a vulnerable spot, especially to another Alpha.
He looked at my face, a subtle smile playing on his lips. “Yes, I also think it’s more interesting to let Alexander remain in exile.”
His words were sharp, the implication clear.
*His wolf approves of my strategy, I can feel it.*
Ignoring Andrew’s grim expression, Grayson placed his hand on my shoulder, the warmth spreading through me.
My own wolf relaxed slightly under his touch.
“Isabella, it’s a cold night. Why aren’t you wearing more furs?”
The warmth of his touch was a comfort, though a part of me still felt the chill of uncertainty.“I thought it would be over soon,” I replied,
my voice barely a whisper.
“Alright, I see they haven’t reached a decision. Let them deliberate. Let’s return to the longhouse,” Grayson murmured, his voice soft yet commanding.“It’s cold. You’ll catch a chill.”
*His wolf is protective, possessive even. I should be grateful, but the betrayal still burns.*
I nodded, ready to leave with him, but Andrew intervened.
“Wait!” he snarled, his Alpha dominance momentarily overshadowing Grayson’s.
Grayson paused, turning slightly, his eyebrow arched in amusement, a playful glint in his eyes.
His wolf sensed the challenge, a low growl echoing in my mind.
Andrew’s face darkened, his teeth clenched.“Fine! I agree! I’ll cede Fire Ridge to you!”
The concession grated, both in his tone and the way his wolf’s scent shifted,
a clear sign of his displeasure.
The next day, Andrew, carrying the deed granting Fire Ridge to my family, arrived at the Miller longhouse.
He slammed the document onto the table, the sound echoing the anger within him. “This is the deed to Fire Ridge. Sign it, and then give
me the statement of understanding!”
I picked up the document, handing it to the Pack Elder Grayson had appointed as my advisor. After receiving a nod, I smiled faintly. “Here’s the statement of understanding.” My wolf is calm, certain. I’ve won this round.*
Andrew snatched the statement, his gaze swift. Then he tucked it away.
He leaned close, his tone menacing. “Isabella, don’t get too cocky! What good is Fire Ridge? The Miller Pack won’t let you go!

“My wolf stands tall defiam
Andrew’s face darkened. He glared, then turned and left
Back at the Miller longhouse, Emily saw the deed–now a single, signed parchment and her displeasure was palpabile
She wants to control him, and me“.

However, she said sweedy, Andrew, don’t be angry with Isabella She’s still family,
Giving Fire Ridge to her isn’t like giving it to an onsiden. As long as she signs the statement, that’s fine”
Her words were suger–coated poison
Andrew, already enraged, bristled at her subtle jab. The ungraceful pup, don’t speak for her
Emily was secredly pleased. Her wolf smirked, sensing victory.
