It was just a den, after all. He’d even torched Grayson’s prized racing mount before, and Grayson hadn’t reacted this fiercely!

“You said yourself, that was then,” Grayson’s voice was cold, devoid of emotion.“Things are different now.”

Different how? Before Alexander could ponder the shift, Grayson’s chilling words cut through the silence.

“Give him a lesson.” Panic seized Alexander.

“No!” He scrambled forward, trying to plead, but Grayson had already stepped back.

Another wolf entered, and without warning, threw something at Alexander, drenching him. A harsh, acrid scent filled the air, making him cough violently.

Recognition hit him with the force of a physical blow–his fur bristled with terror. It was fire–charm accelerant! His mind blanked.

He’d set fire to the Smith den, and now Grayson was going to return the favor!

At the Healing Cave… Emily lay on a bed of soft moss, pale and weak.

Andrew sat beside her, his face etched with worry. Emily’s eyelids fluttered, a sign she was stirring.

Andrew leaned closer.“Emily, how are you feeling? Are you in any discomfort?”

Jared approached awkwardly.

“Emily, are you alright?” Emily slowly opened her eyes, shaking her head weakly, tears welling up.

“Andrew, I’m fine… I’m just… worried about Alexander… will he be alright? Isabella… she… she hates the Silvermoon Pack now… will she make things difficult for Alexander…”

Seeing her distress, even in her weakened state, Andrew’s heart softened.

He gently wiped away her tears.

“Emily, don’t worry, Alexander will be fine. I’ve already contacted a Pack Advocate. He’ll be back soon. As for Isabella…”

A flicker of disdain crossed Andrew’s face.

“Don’t concern yourself with her. What can she truly do to Alexander? He’s her own brother! At worst, I’ll offer her further compensation.”

He spoke dismissively, as if it were a trivial matter, not an attempted murder.

“I’m just afraid that greedy she–wolf will demand more!”

Andrew growled.

“Such a grasping she–wolf!”

Emily bit her lip, her thoughts drifting to the Fireblossom Pack and the failed Blood Bond.

Yet, a small smile played on her lips, remembering Andrew’s contempt for me.
