“The Millers are monsters! To treat such a wonderful she–wolf like Ms. Miller!” Faye’s outburst revealed the depth of her feelings.

I chuckled softly, offering her a tissue.

My wolf felt a kinship with her raw honesty.

Faye wiped her tears, still nervously watching me.

She’d come to my side as a spy, though not in the typical sense. Her initial motives weren’t entirely pure, a fact that troubled her.
