Five Alphas Kneel for Me (Isabella) novel Chapter 282

Chapter282.

Instead of slowing down, I accelerated, recklessly charging my motorbike toward the intersection.

The Silvermoon Pack members blocking the path were stunned.

They thought I’d stop, but I roared through, sending them scattering in panic, howling as they dove to the sides. My bike was less than a hundred meters from the pack council building, and before they knew it, I was upon them, leaving them no time to escape.

Their eyes widened with terror; their fur bristled.

His wolf snarled, a low rumble in my chest.

*They’re so slow, my wolf thought, contemptuous,

Aaaaaah!

They screamed, frantically leaping aside. But it was too late! In that split second, I steadied my grip and yanked the handlebars left, the tires gripping the dirt perfectly. My wolf grinned, a thrill of the hunt pulsing through me.

‘Screech–

The bike tilted sharply, rising up and narrowly missing the pack members on either side, passing through the gap. The wind whipped around as I sped past, and a few of the more timid ones were so scared they nearly relieved themselves.

Great Moon Goddess! I thought I was going to die!

Did she want to kill us?! She wanted to kill us!

I’m quitting this patrol!

I didn’t stop for a second, completely unaware that my riding had terrified them into fleeing, effectively solving a problem for me.

Little did I know, a pack gossipmonger had caught the whole scene on camera and posted it on Howlnet.

I parked my bike in front of the Smith Clan’s great hall, swung the door open, and stepped inside, heading for the upper chambers.

Although I’d taken over FireClan’s design, I was still the Smith Clan’s chief designer.

I breezed through, using my clan identification to access the top floor. Outside Grayson’s chambers, Lydia, his scribe, was engrossed in documents. Seeing me, she stood respectfully.

Ms. Miller, are you here for Alpha Smith? He’s in a council meeting.

My heart pounded. My wolf whined, a low growl building in my chest. My rationality slowly returned, and I nodded, Yes, I’ll wait here.

With that, I walked into the antechamber, quietly taking a seat and turning my head toward the window. Lydia watched me through the doorway, constantly sending messages inside.

Grayson treated me differently; the meeting would go on for a while, and she didn’t dare let me wait indefinitely.

Inside the Smith Clan council chamber, the atmosphere was tense, with clan leaders sitting upright, fully engaged in the meeting, not daring to lose focus.

Grayson sat at the head of the table, his expression cold and commanding, radiating a powerful aura.

Suddenly, his communicator vibrated. The subtle sound stood out in the quiet room. Everyone held their breath, their bodies tense.

Grayson hated being interrupted during meetings; everyone’s communicators were set to silent, including his. Everyone instinctively looked around, checking if someone had forgotten to silence their communicator.

Then, they saw Grayson pick up his communicator.

Everyone’s eyes widened. Grayson lowered his gaze and scanned the screen. His usually cold features softened instantly. His wolf relaxed, a visible shift in his posture.

Their eyes widened even further. Who could elicit such a gentle expression from Grayson? Then, he looked up, his expression cold

again.

His wolf masked its emotions expertly.

He put down his documents and spoke calmly.

Council adjourned, we’ll resume in fifteen minutes.

With that, he stood up and strode out of the council chamber, leaving the clan leaders staring at each other in confusion and shock.

Grayson was known for his selfdiscipline; he almost never let personal matters affect his work. The last time a council meeting was interrupted was due to a medical emergency involving his father.
