Chapter 97
A few she–wolves stared at him in shock, then turned to me, their faces filled with sympathy and anger.
One she–wolf, blunt as ever, asked,
“Isabella, was that your life in the Miller pack? First, Emily’s drama, then this blind he–wolf’s insults?”
I nodded slightly. My wolf, usually calm, felt a surge of resentment.
The scent of injustice hung heavy in the air.
“You should’ve left that pack long ago!” She gave me a thumbs–up, supporting my decision.
Jared’s face darkened instantly, his eyes blazing as he glared at the she–wolf who spoke out, gritting his teeth.
“Don’t slander my sister! I won’t be polite!”
His wolf snarled, a low growl rumbling in his chest.
“Sister? Emily’s more like a sister than a biological sister!”
“Slandering her? Guess why two she–wolves were missing from the twelve–member gathering?”
“Your precious sister and her little sidekick showed up. When you get home, are you going to scold her for messing
around?”
“Don’t believe it? Hey, can we check the security footage? Still don’t believe it? Who invited her? Show the howlnet logs to this good brother.”
Someone was rallying to bring out the evidence!
Suddenly, a deep, magnetic voice cut through the crowd, lazy yet sharp:
“Why bother with a hypocrite? Even with footage, he’ll say his precious sister just happened to be there. With howlnet logs, he’ll say she was seduced and report her to the Pack Council.”
Grayson strolled over, his hands casually tucked in his pockets.
His tall figure drew everyone’s attention, and a hint of a devil–may–care smile played on his sharply defined face.
His scent, a mix of sandalwood and earth, filled the air, a powerful alpha’s mark.
“Ha!”
The crowd paused for a moment before bursting into laughter.
Some covered their mouths to stifle giggles, while others laughed openly, the atmosphere instantly lively. Jared’s expression darkened; anger flashed in his eyes as he glared at this unexpected guest. His wolf bared its teeth, frustrated by the interruption.
Jared was thinking exactly that! But what was wrong? Emily was innocent; why would she come to this messy gathering? If she was here, she must have been tricked!

“Grayson, this is none of your business!”
Grayson glanced at Jared, a sarcastic smile on his lips, his gaze finally settling on me, filled with concern.

My wolf leaped with joy, a primal sense of comfort washing over me.
Grayson’s lips curved into a faint smile as he gently ruffled my hair with his long fingers. This seemingly casual gesture held a hint of subtle affection.
His touch sent a wave of warmth through me, a comforting reassurance from my fated mate.
The she–wolves were captivated by this handsome brother–sister pair!
Jared stood to the side, his face turning a deep shade of anger. My shout of “Brother” landed like a heavy punch to his face, twisting his expression into a near deformation of rage!
His wolf howled silently within him, a wounded animal.
Grayson’s presence filled the space; the students felt intimidated. He was calmer than Jared but had a stronger presence!
His alpha presence dominated, silencing the surrounding she–wolves with his sheer power.
When Grayson turned to me, his deep black eyes softened. His deep, magnetic voice resonated, “Are these all your classmates?”
