Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 128

The Ward Group’s stock price plummeted.

But none of this had anything to do with Grace anymore.

Inside the CEO’s office at Graceline Technologies.

Grace had just finished an international video conference and was pinching the bridge of her nose, feeling exhausted.

Her assistant, Chloe, knocked and entered.

“Ms. Hart, here is the list of gifts received this week for your review.”

Grace took it and glanced through it casually.

The list detailed all sorts of expensive jewelry, luxury goods, and antique art.

The senders, without exception, were all from the Hart family and Ethan.

“Ms. Hart, your father has been coming to the building every day for a week, saying he wants to see you.”

“Your brothers have also been calling and texting constantly.”

“And Mr. Ward… besides sending gifts, he’s been waiting downstairs almost every day, rain or shine. He says… he wants to beg for your forgiveness.”

Even as Chloe reported this, she found it hard to believe.

Who would have thought that the very people who had once cast Grace aside like trash would now be acting so humbly?

Grace listened without any change in her expression.

Her heart no longer stirred for those people.

“Donate all the gifts to charity,” she instructed faintly.

“As for those people, you don’t need to report them to me anymore.”

“Understood, Ms. Hart.”

Just as Chloe was about to leave, the office door was pushed open again.

Damien strode in, carrying a thermal food container.

“Finished with your meeting?”

He walked over to Grace and naturally reached out to massage her temples.

“Yeah.”

Grace leaned back in her chair, inhaling the familiar scent of cedar from him, and felt the exhaustion melt away.

“Tired? I had the kitchen make you some soup.”

Damien opened the container, and a sweet, fragrant aroma instantly filled the room.

Down below, Ethan’s figure was a tiny black dot, standing ramrod straight in the cold autumn wind.

The Hart family’s car was parked nearby as well.

They were probably still waiting for a miracle that would never come.

Grace pulled her gaze away and looked at the man beside her, the man who spoiled her rotten. She stood on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his lips.

“Damien.”

“Hmm?”

“Thank you.”

Thank you for catching me when I was at my darkest.

Thank you for showing me what love is supposed to be.

Damien pulled her into a tight embrace, resting his chin on the top of her head. His voice was deep and tender.

“You deserve all the best things in this world.”

As for those who had once hurt you…

Their lifetime of regret and pain was just beginning.
