Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 133

Damien's voice, amplified by the microphone, carried throughout the entire ballroom.

Icy and commanding.

He pulled a trembling Grace tighter into his embrace, then glared down at the crazed Lilian below the stage, each word seeming to be forced through gritted teeth.

"Are you a cockroach? You just won't go away."

Lilian's triumphant smile froze on her face.

She hadn't expected Damien to be so ruthless in front of so many people.

"I…"

But Damien didn't spare her another glance.

He turned his head slightly, the temperature in his voice cold enough to freeze the air.

"Security."

Two guards in black suits, who had been on standby, immediately rushed forward from either side.

"Throw her out."

"Yes, Mr. Clarke!"

The guards moved quickly, grabbing Lilian by each arm and dragging her away like a sack of garbage.

Lilian finally snapped out of it and began to struggle and scream wildly.

"Let go of me! Let me go!"

"Damien! You can't do this to me! I'm Ethan's fiancée!"

At her words, a deeply sarcastic smirk curled Damien's lips.

"Ethan?"

"Right now, he can barely save himself."

"Also," he paused, turning his gaze to the hotel manager, his tone leaving no room for argument, "call the police immediately. File charges for defamation and slander."

"Tell them we have witnesses and evidence. I, Damien Clarke, will personally see to it that she rots in prison."

Lilian completely lost it.

"Grace! You bitch! I hope you die a horrible death!"

"You think you've won? You'll never escape the Hart family! You'll always be that unwanted jinx!"

Damien felt the woman in his arms stop trembling. He looked down and asked softly, "Grace, are you okay?"

Grace looked up and gave him a weak smile.

In that smile was a hint of relief, as if a great weight had been lifted.

"I'm fine."

"Let's go home."

"Okay."

Damien took off his suit jacket and draped it over her bare shoulders, enveloping her.

He took her hand and, without so much as a glance at the stunned guests or the Hart family, led her straight out of the ruined banquet hall.

His people would handle the mess he left behind.

The only thing he had to do now was take his girl home.

On the way back, the car was silent.

Grace leaned on Damien's shoulder, watching the neon lights streak by outside the window, her mind empty.
