Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 438

With Grace's call for a boycott, Nemesis Group started to panic.

Public opinion had turned against them, their stock price was in freefall, and Damien was relentlessly hounding them like a mad dog. They could no longer sit still.

A gold-embossed invitation was delivered to Damien's desk.

"Well, look at this. A peace offering?"

Damien picked up the invitation with two fingers.

"The Regional President for Nemesis Group would like to meet with you and your wife tonight at The Pavilion," Felix said, a hint of triumph in his voice. "They say they're willing to compensate for our losses and issue a public apology, as long as we drop the lawsuit and dissolve that 'Alliance for Ethical Technology.'"

"Grace, what do you think?" Damien turned to Grace, who was sitting nearby, reading a book.

Grace didn't even look up as she turned a page. "We're not going."

"They're willing to pay ten billion dollars," Felix added.

"Ten billion dollars?" Grace finally looked up, her eyes terrifyingly clear. "Can ten billion dollars bring my grandmother back to life? Can it undo the tragedy of my mother being tortured to death? Can it erase all the years of humiliation I suffered with the Hart family?"

She closed her book and stood up, walking over to the floor-to-ceiling window.

"Tell them I don't accept private negotiations."

"I'm suing them until they go bankrupt."

"But, ma'am..." Felix looked troubled. "Nemesis Group's legal team is known as 'The Undefeated,' and their backers are a tangled web of connections. If we really go to court, we'll need ironclad proof. Public opinion alone won't be enough to convict them."

"Proof?"

Just then, the office door was pushed open.

Melissa entered, pushing a wheelchair. Seated in it was Dorian, who had just undergone his second surgery. He was still immobile but seemed to be in good spirits.

"We have proof," Dorian said, his voice weak but his eyes shining with an unprecedented light.

"I want the whole world to see just how foul the souls of these well-dressed tycoons really are beneath their polished exteriors."

Damien moved quickly.

Given the immense social impact of the case, the court responded swiftly.

The trial date was set for one week later.

For Grace, that week felt as long as a century.

She spent every day organizing evidence and running mock trials.

Damien stayed by her side, never leaving, bringing her tea, feeding her meals, and giving her massages.

"Damien, you don't have to do this," Grace said, her heart aching as she watched the man fuss over her. "This kind of work, serving someone..."
