Serena's voice was suddenly shrill, betraying her panic.
Grace chuckled softly.
"Lucian Chow ran off, and you can claim you don't know him. But don't forget, things usually end badly for pawns."
Serena fell silent.
Grace continued with her hypothesis. "You should know better than I do what kind of person Julian Leung is. The Clarke Group's building collapsed, and it was obviously sabotage. I'm willing to bet Serena has privately met with someone from the Clarke Group, haven't you? I can't imagine Julian Leung would be noble enough to take the blame for this."
"Shut up!"
Serena shrieked, "What do you know! You don't know anything!"
"You're right, I don't," Grace's voice was icy. "But I do know that if you're really mixed up in this, things won't end well for you when Damien starts investigating."

The line went dead.
Just as she thought.
She was right. Julian Leung had used Serena.
Grace returned to the living room, where Lottie was feeding Gianna pieces of fruit.
"How did it go?"
Grace sat down and kissed Gianna's forehead. "Lottie, I need to go to the Clarke Group."
"Now?" Lottie Grant frowned. "It's swarming with reporters outside. What can you possibly do there?"
"I'm going to bring him some food."
She stood up and grabbed her coat as she spoke. "And I'm going to confirm a few of my suspicions while I'm at it."

The Clarke Group tower.
Though it was supposed to be a holiday, the entire building was lit up.
Not a single person complained.
When employees from the administrative departments saw the news about The Myriad Galleria on social media, many of them voluntarily returned to the office.
Because their boss, Damien, had already been working for two days and nights straight.
