Her Words Are My Words
Her Words Are My Words

Gabriel had fallen asleep at some point, and when he opened his eyes, he saw the princess by the window. She was truly beautiful. When she had arrived at the palace, she was just a child, but over time she had become a true beauty. However, her beauty was not only in her appearance; there was something about her that attracted people.
Abril turned around and said to him:
“Sir Gabriel, perhaps we should continue tomorrow, it will soon be dinner time.”
Gabriel stood up and replied,
“Of course, excuse me, I think I fell asleep.”
“Don’t worry, it happens to me too on summer afternoons. You should go; your family must be waiting for you for dinner as well.”
Gabriel rarely left the palace early, so his wife never expected him for dinner. He replied,
“I don’t usually get home early; my wife doesn’t wait for me to have dinner.”
“All the more reason you should go back early. It’s sad to have dinner alone every day. Even if your wife doesn’t say it, I’m sure she’s waiting for you every day for dinner.”
“I can’t leave without the king’s permission.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of telling him.”
“Then with your permission, Your Highness, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Gabriel left the library, and in the hallway, he met the king, who asked him,
“Where is my wife?”
“She is in the library.”
“I see.”
“Your Highness, she told me I could go home.”
“Then go, her words are mine.”
Gabriel bowed and said,
“Thank you, Your Highness.”

“Come back early tomorrow.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
Alessandro went to the library; Abril was still reading a book. He placed his hand on her
shoulder and said,
“Why are you still studying? Gabriel has already left.”
“I know, but I wanted to keep studying a little longer, I told you I would make an effort.”
“You don’t have to push yourself so hard, just do what you can.”
“By the way, I told Sir Gabriel he could leave. Are you upset?”
“No, you must have done it for a reason, right?”
“I just wanted him to have dinner with his wife. He insisted it was fine, that she was already used to it, that she no longer expected him for dinner. But when you’re not here, I feel lonely, she must feel the same.”
Alessandro gave her a kiss and said,
“I’m sorry.”
“Why are you apologizing?”
“For always being busy and leaving you alone.”
“I know you can’t always be with me; after all, you carry a kingdom on your shoulders. That’s why I want to learn quickly to be your help and lighten your load.”
“You already do, just by having you by my side every night, you help me.”
“How?”
“I don’t know if I’ve told you before, but after the war, I couldn’t sleep. I only slept a few hours, and when I did, I woke up more tired than when I went to sleep because of the nightmares. But since we’ve been sleeping together, that’s over. I sleep deeply and no longer have nightmares. Every morning when I wake up, I’m rested. For a long time, you’ve been my help, lightening my burden.”
“Really?”
“Yes, Aby, being by your side makes me feel calm and at peace.”
Abril smiled broadly and said,

Abril’s eyes lit up, and she replied,

Alessandro took her hand and led her to the garden. As they walked hand in hand Aun sac to him,
“Summer is almost over
“It is.”
“Lessan, will the war be during the winter?
“Why do you ask?
“I was just curious. You said the war would start soon, so I was wondering if it would be during the cold winter
“I don’t know yet.”
“I hope it’s not, all the knights and soldiers would suffer a lot if it were in winter
“Actually, it’s quite the opposite. I think they prefer the war to start during winter rather than in the summer. They wear heavy armor to protect themselves during battle, and in the summer the armor heats up and wearing it is uncomfortable. But during winter, that’s not a problem. In fact, they like wearing it because it keeps them warmer
Also, since it’s winter, the farmers don’t have to worry about their crops as there’s nothing in the fields, so I wouldn’t have to worry about them getting caught in the battle.”
“I hope the seals that bind my magic break soon too, so I can heal your wounds and those of the soldiers.”
“That won’t happen.”
“Why not?”
“I won’t let you go to the battlefield. I’d never allow it. If something were to happen to you

“And even if you don’t like the idea, I’m going with you. Because just like you, I couldn’t go on living if I lost you. You’re everything to me, so you won’t be able to push me away. I’ll stay with you no matter what comes our way.”
Alessandro gave her a gentle kiss on the lips and said,
“You’re so stubborn.”
