When Cassian woke up, the first thing he saw was Maya sleeping beside him. After returning from the city, they had dinner in their room, and a few glasses of wine later, things spiraled out of control. Their mouths met, the fire ignited between them, and clothes became a hindrance. They ended up in bed, tangled in a web of impure caresses. For Cassian, his first time had been wonderful, but the second was even more so. Just remembering everything they had done made his body tremble, and he had to force himself to think of something else disturbing Maya
while she slept.
When he had calmed his desire, he caressed her cheek. She woke up and opened her beautiful red eyes, which were like two rubies. She snuggled closer to him, buried her head in his chest and said,
“Good morning.”
Cassian felt his breath hitch. He took a deep breath and responded, a bit embarrassed to feel her naked body pressed against him.
“Good morning, Maya.”
“Tell me it’s not morning yet.”
She said with her eyes still closed, refusing to believe it was already day. The first rays of sun filtered through the windows, and Cassian replied,
“It’s already dawn.”
“I told you not to tell me, I’m still sleepy, I don’t want to get up.
She complained while resting her chin on his chest
“You don’t have to; we can stay in bed a little longer
Maya sat up and said,
“I wish I could, but I have to go. The sooner I leave, the sooner I’ll return.”
Cassian felt disappointed at having to part from Maya, but in reality, they weren’t even in a relationship. He didn’t even know exactly what they had.
“What is our relationship?”
Maya looked at him, seemingly puzzled by the question he had just asked. Cassian realized he had said out loud what he was thinking without meaning to; seeing her strange reaction, he hurried to
say,
“Well, it’s just that I don’t know what to call what we have, that’s why I’m asking.”
“Hmm… That depends on you. What do you want us to be?”

“I don’t know, that’s why I asked.”
“I’ve already suggested it before, but you still haven’t given me an answer.”
“About being lovers?”

“That’s right, I think that would be a good term to describe what we have now, don’t you think?”
“I suppose you’re right; it’d be a good term.”
“Then I’m your lover, well, until you find a wife, of course. When that day
end. I don’t want to be the one blamed for being with a married man.”
Cassian kept thinking that marrying Maya wouldn’t be a bad idea, so he said,
“Wouldn’t you want to be my wife?”
With a serious look on her face, Maya replied,
“No, I don’t want to be your wife.”
“Are you really never planning to get married?”
“That’s right, I can’t get married, so please don’t bring it up again.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“It’s nothing, it doesn’t really matter.”

Maya got up and picked up her clothes from the floor. As she changed, Cassian also got up and quickly dressed to accompany her to the palace gates and say goodbye.
When Maya finished changing, she said to him.
“I’ll see you when I get back.”
“I’ll accompany you to the palace gates.”
“That’s not necessary.”
“I want to do it anyway.”
“But I don’t want you to, so let’s say goodbye here.”
Maya gave him a kiss on the cheek and said.
“See you soon, little prince.”
Cassian realized that Maya was very sensitive about marriage. Initially, he thought it was because she didn’t want to get married due to her free spirit, but he no longer believed that. He wondered what the real reason was behind her strong refusal to marry.

immersed in books, but she didn’t look well, and Gabriel asked her.
“Your Majesty, are you alright?”
“Yes, I’m just feeling a bit dizzy.”
Gabriel opened the window to let in the fresh breeze from the garden and said.
“Should I call the doctor?”

Abril continued reading the book in her hands. Although she felt terrible, breaking the second seal hadn’t exhausted her as much as the first, but she still didn’t feel well.”
The princess had said she was fine, but Gabriel remained worried because she didn’t look well. He didn’t want to disobey her order by telling the king that she was unwell, but he also couldn’t ignore her condition. He stepped out for a moment and asked a servant to bring a tea that would relieve fatigue and help with dizziness. Not wanting to reveal it was for Abril, he lied, claiming he wasn’t feeling well.
Gabriel received the tea and served it himself.
“Your Majesty, please take a moment to have some tea.”
While drinking the tea, Abril looked out the window to feel the fresh air and said.
“Thank you so much for the tea, it really helped.”
“I’m glad to hear that. If you need anything, just let me know.”
“For now, just don’t tell Alessandro I’m not feeling well. He’ll surely blow it out of proportion.”
“I will do as you say, Your Majesty, but if you don’t improve, I will have to inform the king.”
“I know, but it won’t be necessary. Tomorrow I’ll be as good as new, I just feel a slight discomfort,
it’s nothing serious.”
“I hope so, and that you recover soon, Your Majesty
Alessandro was reviewing some papers when he heard a knock on his office door. He looked up to see Cassian peeking in and asking,
“Hey Lessan, can I come in?”
“Of course, Cas, come in.”
Seeing the mountain of papers on Alessandro’s desk, Cassian said,
“I’m sorry to interrupt when you’re so busy.”

“Don’t worry about it; I’ll get through it somehow. So, what brings you here?”
“I just wanted to tell you that Maya has already left this morning.”
“You must be upset that she’s left.”
“Of course not.”
“In two weeks, there will be a ball, where you’ll be given the title; Duke. Are you ready?”
“Yes.”
“Have you gone to see the elves?”
“Not yet; I was planning to go after meeting with you.”
Alessandro stood up, looked out the window, and while gazing at the garden, said,
