Sirius used magic to open the door of the tower; he extended his hand towards Abril and said,

“We’d better go in.”

Abril took his hand, and as they entered, she was very surprised; although the tower looked cold and gloomy from the outside, the interior was well–lit and seemed like a cozy place.

“This will be your home for a while, Your Majesty. I hope you feel comfortable in my tower. If you

need anything, don’t hesitate to ask.”

Abril was determined to master her magic because she wanted to return to the palace and be with

Alessandro as soon as possible, so she said,

“Then we can start my training right now.”

“What?! Right now?!”

“Yes, as you know, I’m here to learn to control my power, so I want to learn to do it immediately so I

can return to the palace.”

Sirius knew that wasn’t the only reason the king had sent her to that place; he wanted to keep his

beloved wife away from danger.

Abril actually had several questions, so she asked Sirius.

“With practice.”

“I know Your Majesty is still opposed to breaking the last seal because you don’t want to separate from your mother’s spirit, but without doing so, controlling your magic will be quite difficult.”

“But is it impossible?”

“Enchantments?”

Sirius stood up, took a book from one of the shelves in the room, and gave it to Abril.

Sirius noticed that Abril was still wearing the ring he had given her and said.

“Your Majesty, this might sound insolent, but please change your hair color and don’t reveal your identity to anyone; it’s for your safety.”

Using the power of the ring, Abril did as Sirius asked and changed her red hair to light brown.

“I’d also like you to choose a different name.”

Abril thought of a name for a moment. She chose the name of the protagonist of her favorite

novel.

“Amara.”

“It’s a beautiful name. From now on, I’ll address you as Amara. Please remember to keep your identity a secret. This is a safe place, but it’s best not to take risks.”

Sirius snapped his fingers and a girl in a black robe with short blonde hair appeared suddenly.

“Tara, I want to introduce you to Amara, she is my disciple. Show her the tower and assign her a

room.”

“Yes, master.”

Tara introduced herself to Abril with a smile.

“Hello Amara, my name is Tara. I hope we can get along well.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Tara. I hope I’m not a bother to you.”

Sirius gave Tara a look as if to say:

“Get out of here, I want to be alone.”

Tara took Abril’s hand and said,

“Amara, we should hurry, or I won’t be able to show you the entire tower.”

They both left the room. Tara showed her much of the tower and then took her to her room, as she seemed very tired.

When Abril was alone, she began to read the book Sirius had given her. That day, she stayed up reading late into the night, eager to finish the book quickly and move on to practice. She needed to learn to control her magic to return to the palace and be with her beloved.
