Alessandro had thought about asking his brother to accompany Abril to the kingdom of Latos, but seeing the state of anxiety he was in, he doubted that he would leave Maya for a few days, unless she was completely fine.

When Cassian calmed down, he asked, “Why did you send for me?”

Alessandro hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to tell him why he had sent for him.

“Nice to meet you, Taren.”

Alessandro walked around his desk, stood beside Abril, and told her, “Cassian won’t be able to accompany you on your journey, so I asked Taren to do it. His skills are similar to Cassian’s.” “Then I count on you to undertake this journey,” Abril said as she turned to Taren.

“We can leave whenever Your Majesty wants.”

“Then we will leave tomorrow.”

“As Your Majesty wishes, I will prepare to leave. I take my leave.”

When Taren left, Abril said to Alessandro, “You could send a message to Sirius. I no longer want to delay my departure.”

“Of course.”

“Have you treated Maya?”

“Yes, I have.”

Abril stood on her tiptoes, gave him a gentle kiss on the lips, and said to him, “I won’t risk my life knowing that my family is waiting for me. I’ll come back to you as soon as I can.”
