After speaking with Kiara, Abril went to her daughter’s room. Since it was late, she thought she would find her asleep. To her surprise, however, Lissana had summoned the winds and made all

the dolls in the room fly around. The maid who was taking care of Lissana at that moment looked

terrified, holding Lissana tightly against her chest.

Abril nullified Lissana’s magic, approached them, and asked, “Are you all right?”

“Your Majesty saw it, please tell me you saw it, the dolls were…”

“You must be tired. Give Lissana to me; she’ll sleep with me tonight. Go and rest.”

After handing over the child, the maid ran out of the room as if she had seen a ghost. Using the limiters, Lissana’s magic was much weaker, but still enough to cause problems. Abril kissed her daughter’s forehead, caressed her cheek, and suppressed her powers.

Lissana closed her eyes and quickly fell asleep.

Abril carried her to her room and gently placed her in the crib next to her bed. She glanced briefly at Alessandro, who was still asleep, and then turned her gaze back to Lissana. Even with her magic suppressed and limited, she could feel all the power coursing through her daughter’s small body.

Lissana’s time was running out. Abril could no longer keep her daughter; she had to take her to the

land of the fairies before it was too late.

The next day, when Alessandro woke up, Abril said, “Lessan, we need to talk.”

“What is it?”

“I’m thinking of going to the land of the fairies to find Cassian and Maya.”

“I’ll go with you.”

Abril shook her head. “Time works differently in the land of the fairies. Cira has become stronger; someone needs to protect the castle. One of the keys to Hades is here; we must ensure Cira doesn’t get her hands on it.”

Alessandro wanted to argue but knew Abril was right. Even though he hated it with all his being,

they had to separate again.

“I won’t let you go alone. I’ll ask Sirius to go with you.”

“No, Sirius must stay and reinforce all the barriers protecting the kingdom. I don’t want the monsters of Laios crossing the borders. I’ve seen what those monsters do to people, all the death and destruction they leave in their wake. I don’t want to see that again. That’s why I’ve asked Kiara
