Lissana hugged her friend to console him, and he replied, “I’m really sorry, I didn’t want to break my
promise.”
“I suppose you’re happy with your family now, and you won’t return.”
“I will return, I promised you.”
“You don’t have to return if you don’t want to, because I know how much you’ve wanted to be with your
family. Now you’re with them, smile and be happy, Lissana, you don’t have to keep your promise.”
The next morning, Lissana woke up crying. Abril was about to open the door when she heard her daughter crying. She opened the door and, seeing her cry, approached her and, wrapping her in her arms, asked,
“What’s wrong?”
“I won’t see Tarik again.”
“Of course you will. Why do you say that?”
“I dreamed of him. Tarik said goodbye to me, he told me not to return to Fairyland.”
“It was just a dream, sweetheart, don’t cry.”
“Tarik looked sad, he’s sad because I didn’t keep my promise.”
“Of course not. Don’t cry, it was just a dream. It’s a beautiful day today. Do you want to have breakfast in the garden? Let’s invite Maya and Uzziel. How about that?”
Lissana nodded. Abril wiped her little one’s face with a damp towel and helped her get dressed, then
instructed the maids to serve breakfast in the garden. While everything was being prepared, Abril and
Lissana went to invite Maya and Uzziel.
“We’re having breakfast in the garden today, would you like to join us?”
“Of course.”
