Forgotten Wife Let the traitors kneel Down (by Patricia Maradiaga) novel Chapter 400

Immune to the Magic of Fire

The mages cleared the exit using explosives. The army left the camp, and from the beginning, they started to fight. The monsters seemed to have multiplied, and their attacks were faster. They seemed determined to enter that day as they wouldn’t even let them advance.

Abril could see from where she was the fierce battle that had broken out. With her heart in her throat, she searched for Alessandro, but he seemed fine against the monstersattacks. They couldn’t touch him because she had blessed his armor, and the enemy army knew it, so that day, those attacking him were

human soldiers.

Alessandro used his wind to protect himself from the incessant attacks he received and made his way

through the crowd attacking them. They were able to advance and began to move away from the barrier.

As Abril moved away, she felt a tightness in her chest, that bad feeling she had was becoming more

intense. She ran to one of the watchtowers, and when she reached the top, the soldiers watching the

battle from there were very surprised.

What are you doing here, sorceress?

I want to see what’s happening. Please let me stay, I beg you.”

You can’t be here.

Please, let me stay.

Abril pleaded over and over until they accepted her request.

Abril stayed all day in the watchtower. From a distance, she could see Alessandro’s silver armor standing

out in that sea of darkness formed by the monsters. As she stared into the distance, she felt a pressure in

her chest and suddenly found herself transported to the battlefield. It was so real that for a moment she

thought she was there. Until Sophia appeared before her and said,

My child, you must break the last seal and end this war. You can no longer delay it; those you love are in grave danger.

Before her eyes, Abril saw the fierce battle Alessandro and her father were having at that moment. She saw an army of monsters appearing on the horizon, joining those already there. She saw many of the soldiers panicking; that night they wouldn’t be able to return to the camp, that day they wouldn’t be allowed to escape.

Suddenly, Abril returned to the watchtower, and the soldiers there asked her.

Sorceress, are you okay?

Abril’s eyes widened like saucers, fear and terror took hold of her, her legs trembled uncontrollably and barely held her up.

She slapped her cheeks, forcing herself to react. The two guards were astonished and asked again.

Sorceress, are you alright?

Abril ignored the soldierscomment and hurriedly descended from the watchtower. She rushed to find Sirius, nearly out of breath when she reached him.

I need to get out, open the barrier.

Are you out of your mind? I can’t do that.

I don’t have time to explain; you have to let me out. Lessan is in danger!

Sirius took Abril aside, where no one could hear their conversation, and said.

I don’t know what’s going on, but I can’t let you leave the camp and enter the battlefield.

I must go.

Alessandro would have my head if I let you go.

If you don’t let me go, he will die.

How am I supposed to understand if you don’t explain it to me?

Abril didn’t have time to explain to Sirius what was happening at that moment, so she ran off and said,

Reinforce the barrier when I leave.

What?!

Sirius ran after Abril, but she was faster, and he couldn’t catch up with her. Upon reaching the barrier, Abril used her nullification power to open a gap large enough to pass through without destroying it. After opening the barrier, several monsters tried to enter at once, but none succeeded. Abril reduced them to ashes with her silver flames before they could touch her. She dashed out of the camp, using her flames to form a barrier between the monsters and the camp. Any monster that approached was reduced to ashes.

When Sirius reached the barrier, he reinforced it using his magic, sealing the gap Abril had created to exit. After finishing, he looked up and saw Abril running like a gazelle through a sea of monsters, enveloping her own body in silver flames as she made her way through.

Abril ran as fast as she could towards where Alessandro and her father were fighting. She felt tired and her stomach hurt from so much running, yet she didn’t stop for a moment and kept going. She hadn’t thought twice. She didn’t really know what she would do when she got there. As she ran, her heart pounding and her mind in chaos, she tried to come up with a plan and thought of one. It was a stupid and

reckless plan, but in that situation, she couldn’t think clearly

When she was close to them, she threw a fireball at her father’s face before he could stab Alessandro with

his sword and shouted, Hey! Leave my husband alone.

Vritra wiped his face as if the flames were nothing more than an annoying snowball, infuriating but harmless. He turned his gaze towards Abril. Using her nullification magic, she had canceled the ring’s magic that changed her hair color, and she once again had her long red mane, which was loose and

moved by the breeze. Vritra recognized her immediately and spoke.

Well, well, look who we have here, my useless daughter.

Seeing Abril there, panic overtook Alessandro, especially because he was facing the king of all those monsters. Moments ago, Alessandro had faced death, but he felt more fear now seeing Abril confront her

father.
