Chapter 521
After Franklin’s last meeting with Julia, everyone had assumed it’d be easy for her to pull his heart back.
But reality turned out very different.
It had already been four or five days since they’d had dinner together, and Franklin still hadn’t reached out to Julia.
Not once.
Even when Julia went all the way to Wilson Group to look for him, she never managed to see him.
If anyone tried to claim Franklin was simply “too busy,”
not even they believed that excuse.
No matter how busy a man is, he still has time to eat and drink water.
And if he actually cared about someone, he’d text during lunch, during a break, hell, he’d even squeeze in a message during a meeting just to check in.
So the fact that Franklin didn’t initiate anything, while Julia kept missing him completely…
They’d already faintly realized the truth.
Franklin wasn’t busy.
He was avoiding her.
But what they hadn’t expected was this:
Not only was Franklin avoiding Julia,
he was now openly going out with Maggie and taking Isabella to crowded public places like this.
Had Franklin already given his heart to Maggie completely?
Was that why he wasn’t even worried about their relationship being exposed anymore?
Once that thought settled, it wasn’t just Tracy and Sophia whose expressions darkened-
even Janice’s gaze grew cold.
None of them felt like eating anymore.
After sitting in silence for a bit, they finally turned and left the private booth.
On their way out, every single one of them glanced toward Franklin and Maggie’s table.
Maybe there were no private rooms available, because Franklin and Maggie weren’t in one.

They saw Franklin patiently helping Maggie with her disposable chopsticks, arranging things for her, even serving food for her.
He was attentive.
Gentle.
Actively caring.

Sophia bit her lip, her chest aching so badly she could barely breathe.
But she didn’t dare say anything.
Didn’t dare do anything.
She just followed Janice and the others out.
Meanwhile, Franklin and Maggie had no clue they’d been seen.
Franklin and Maggie had been to countless business dinners in their lives, so food hardly ever excited them anymore. Isabella, however, was happily eating away.
After dinner, they walked with Isabella for a bit longer until she finally started getting sleepy.
They had come in Maggie’s car, but to make things easier, Franklin had already asked his driver to come pick them up.
In the underground parking lot, after hugging Maggie goodbye, a yawning Isabella got into the car.
Maggie was about to head to her own car when she opened the door and noticed Isabella’s little backpack…
and Franklin’s spare phone…
still sitting inside.
Before she could even call out, Franklin clearly remembered too. He walked over, opened her car door naturally, and grabbed both his stuff and
Isabella’s.
After closing the door, he looked at Maggie and said softly,
“I’ll take Isabella home first. Good night.”
Maggie: “…”
She didn’t reply.
Just gave a small nod, avoided his gaze, and climbed into her car.
She was just about to close the door when she suddenly noticed-
not far away-
Rex and Yves.
She froze for a split second.
Then acted like she hadn’t seen anything, shut the door, started the engine, and drove off.
Following her line of sight, Franklin also saw Rex and Yves.
He nodded toward them calmly.
Rex’s expression, however, was ice–cold.
Because he’d just clearly seen Franklin naturally open Maggie’s car door…
like it was something he’d already been doing for a while.
That small action said everything-
