Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time (by Zora Pradeep) novel Chapter 613

Chapter 613

Watching the car disappear down the road, Yves shook his head in disbelief. Damn, they’re still not done? That Miss Brown literally put her life on the line for him, and Franklin treats her like that? Honestly, I almost feel bad for her. Girl deserved better.

He kept going. And that Miss Miller? Zero shame. Absolutely zero.

Rex said nothing. But the look on his face was dark enough to cut glass.

Maggie, of course, had no idea any of that was going on.

she and Franklin spent the afternoon with Isabella, and that evening, Isabella tagged along back to the Miller house.

The next morning. Maggie dropped her off at school herself.

sabella was in a great mood. She hopped out of the car and bounced toward the school entrance, waving back at Maggie the whole way.

Jack in the classroom, her classmate Lily Pip waved her over. Isabella! You’re here! My mom made these Apricot Bloom Tarts specially for everyone. Come try

ne!

sabella slung her backpack off her shoulder and took one. Sure, thanks.

ommy was already eating one, and he looked up at Lily Pip. Wait, I thought your mom moved away for work? How’d she have time to bake all these?

ily Pip lit up, practically glowing with pride. She said she missed me too much. She didn’t want to miss me growing up, so she applied for a transfer to an ffice near home. From now on, it’s just like before. I get to see her every single day.

Wow, Lily Pip, your mom is so sweet.

Obviously! She loves me the most. That’s why she couldn’t even make it a month before she asked to come back. She transferred just so she could spend more

me with me.

he looked over at Tommy and Isabella, noticed they were almost done, and said generously, You guys want more? I’ve still got plenty.

ily Pip’s mom really did know how to bake. Tommy loved them and grabbed another piece without hesitation. But Isabella looked down quietly. I had a big reakfast. I’m good.

ily Pip didn’t push it. Tommy, though, picked up on something off about Isabella’s expression. Hey, you okay? You kind of justgot all quiet on us.

sabella still had that one piece in her hand, barely touched.

he didn’t have much of an appetite anymore.

he hit her lower lip and didn’t answer.

ommy stared at her. She looked genuinely upset, and kind of like she was about to cry. He didn’t know what to do. Isabella, I

sabella turned her face away so he wouldn’t see her eyes had gone red. I’m fine. Go ahead.

ommy stood there for a second. Oh. Okay. Yeah.

hat afternoon when school let out, it was the family driver who came to pick Isabella up, same as always.

But most of her classmates, including Lily Pip and Tommy, were being picked up by someone from their family.

For the past six months or so, Isabella had been going back and forth between home and the Miller house after school, no set pattern to it.

So after she got in the car, the driver asked the same question he always did: where did she want to go tonight?

That morning when she’d left, she’d already figured she’d head back to the Miller house.

But now, sitting in the backseat, watching her classmates run laughing toward the people waiting for them, she was quiet for a long moment.
