Third–Person POV:
Julian was the Alpha of the Graves Pack. That was the original sin at the core of them being together.

As long as she stayed with him, she would never become a mother in this lifetime. Even if only for the chance to have pups of her own someday, she had to break this mate bond.
Hearing the bitterness creeping into her voice, Julian felt a weight settle in his chest.
Just have some soup first, okay?”
He shouldn’t have brought up pups at all. He knew she couldn’t handle any mention of them right now, and yet he’d gone and done it anyway.
“hat was just how he was–when he wanted something, he plowed ahead without thinking.
illian said, “Tell the kitchen to make me something normal. Or just bring me a bowl of oatmeal.”
f she had to eat, she wanted regular food. This soup… who knew what they’d put in it this time? Would it make her hemorrhage gain?
She turned over, facing away from him.
Julian sat there on the edge of the bed, bowl still in hand, frozen. Something hollow opened up in his chest.
“hat look she’d given him at the end…
Vas that distrust? Toward him?
All because of that bowl of soup.
He’d come back and personally told the kitchen what to make. Watched them add every ingredient. He’d been so careful, so errified of another mistake like yesterday landing her back in the hospital.
When she didn’t hear him move, Lillian spat out three cold words. “Get out.”
Julian went still.
der temper was really something now.
‘I was careless yesterday. I’m sorry. From now on, I’ll be more careful about what you eat.”
Lillian’s response was instant. “Don’t.
“I’m begging you. Don’t do anything for me.”
If he did something for her, those people in the Graves Pack would lose their minds again. His good intentions might backfire- maybe not just land her in the hospital next time. Maybe kill her.
Even if she survived, she didn’t want Julian putting in any effort on her behalf.

Chapter 110 Trust Broken
Julian watched her, tried a different approach, offered something else–but Litliar’s distrust was ablete. Frustrated, be lifted the bowl and drained it in one go.
“There. I drank it myself. Let’s see if it lands me in the hospital”
Lillian didn’t turn around. “Psycho.”
Julian set the bowl down but still didn’t leave.
He looked at her back, hesitated, then asked, “The ‘brother you mentioned earlier. Who is that?
When he’d pushed the door open, he’d caught those words.
Brother.
She was an Omega who’d grown up in the orphanage. What brother could she possibly have?
The question made Lillian’s breath catch–just for a second, barely noticeable. Then she was fine.
“What brother? You think I’m like Iris, with some powerful pack behind me?”
Julian said nothing.
Lillian’s voice turned sharp. “Sorry to disappoint. I don’t have that. So the Graves Pack really got the short end of the stick, marrying a Luna like me.”
The sarcasm, the bite in her words–it grated against him, set his teeth on edge.
He looked at her back, lips parting as if to speak, but his phone rang.
Julian glanced at the number. Hung up.
He looked at Lillian one more time, then stood. “Rest. The kitchen will bring your food up when it’s ready.”
Right now, he was trying. Trying to accommodate her, to bend. Even his old rule about no eating in the bedroom–he was letting that go.
He walked out.
At the door, his phone Yang again. This time he answered. “What is it now?”
That impatient tone, the way he said “now“-she didn’t need to guess. It was probably Iris from the hospital. Or the pup she’d given birth to.
Lillian picked up her phone and dialed George.
He answered immediately, “Miss?”
“The pup Iris had. Is there really something wrong with it?”
George said, “One of them has a severe heart condition. The pup’s in critical care. Needs resuscitation constantly.”
Lillian went quiet.
