Chapter 129 Lunch With Finn
Third–Person POV:
Finn said, “Relocating back to the Western Continent means dealing with a ton of red tape. It’s going to take time.”
Lillian nodded. “I know. But it still has to happen, right?”
It was her work, her company–she couldn’t just walk away from it.
Even if the move took months, given how things stood with Julian and the mate bond dissolution hanging over her hea
didn’t have much choice.
She’d originally planned to settle things cleanly, get him to agree to end the bond.
But from the way he was acting now, that wasn’t happening.
So she’d probably have to start formal legal proceedings.
Finn said, “You’re right. It’s a pain, but I’ll handle things on this end for you here in Gilneas City. Your brother can help you
Western Continent.”
Lillian shook her head. “I should handle it myself. I can’t keep putting this on you.”
The whole mess with Julian already made her feel guilty enough where Finn was concerned.
He’d done so much for her already.
Finn didn’t answer right away. He just looked at her.
His gaze was deep, steady–like still water hiding something beneath.
There was something about the quiet certainty in his eyes. It wasn’t just commanding; it gave off this strange sense of safety
Like no matter what happened, if he was involved, things would work out.
Under that look, Lillian felt a shiver run through her. Finally, she nodded. “Okay, Then, I’ll leave it to you.”
Finn peeled a few more shrimp for her.
Lillian held up her hand. “No, really–I’m full.”
After lunch, right before Finn left, he glanced back at her. “tris doesn’t actually have depression.”
Lillian blinked,
So she was faking it.
Honestly, Lillian had suspected as much all along
Someone as calculating as tris would try anything–faking an illness was nothing to her
Finn left.

Chapter 129 Lunch With Finn
Paul was waiting outside.
The moment Finn slid into the car, Paul said, “Julian’s been trying to track our route.”
Finn’s mind was still half–occupied with the image of Lillian stumbling through her apology.
Hearing that Julian was digging into his movements, a faint smile tugged at his lips. “Let him.”
Paul kept going. “Thomas has been poking around a few of our projects. Looks like he’s trying to poach them.”
Project poaching.
In Gilneas City, the Graves Pack and the Livingston Pack had always coexisted as the two major powers.
Their business territories overlapped in places, sure, but they’d always kept their hands off each other’s work.
Now Julian was suddenly sending Thomas after their contracts.
It wasn’t hard to figure out why.
This was about Lillian. Julian was picking a fight.
Before, it had been words.
Now it was escalating to pack interests.
Finn asked, “Which ones?”
“The Lido Group contract–Thomas met with their CEO this morning.
“And Pierce Group account too. Probably trying to hit back at you over the Lillian situation.”
That word-“hit back“-made the man’s eyes behind his wire–rimmed glasses go cold.
Finn lit a cigarette and took a long drag.
He exhaled slowly, a humorless laugh escaping. “Let him. He’ll have other things to worry about soon enough”
Paul had expected Finn to say something about retaliation.
Over the years, anyone who’d crossed him had learned fast–he hit back hard.
But with Julian, he was actually saying, “Let it go?”
“Julian seems pretty set on coming after us, though. You sure we don’t need to do anything?”
If Julian actually managed to poach those contracts, they’d take a reat hit
Finn said, “He won’t have the bandwidth soon. Something else is going to demand his attention.”
There was something almost satisfied in his voice, low and certain.
Paul didn’t follow.

Finn took another drag, then said, “He’s refusing to let Lillian go. That’s going to become a very expensive problem f
Given everything the Graves Pack had done, Edmund had been furious for a while now.
Lillian had been holding him back.
That was the only reason Edmund hadn’t gone after Julian directly yet.
But Julian had finally worn through whatever patience Edmund had left.
Hearing that, Paul understood.
He nodded. “Mr. Langley probably wants Lillian back on the Western Continent before Zachary Langley’s birthday gala
Zachary was Lillian’s biological father.
Ever since he’d found out Lillian was his daughter, he’d been pushing for her to come home.
And Zachary’s birthday gala was in less than three months.
Thinking about Julian stubbornly clinging to the bond, Paul said, “Julian still doesn’t know who Lillian really is. Once Mr. gets involved and Lillian keeps pushing, they might finally break the bond.”
The Graves Pack had always looked down on Lillian.
They had no idea she was the daughter of the most powerful pack on the Western Continent.
The Langley Pack controlled nearly the entire economic backbone out there.
And her father, Zachary, held a high–ranking noble title in the Western Continent werewolf court.
With a background like that, once the Graves Pack found out, they’d be drowning in regret.
“She’s smart. She’s probably already worked out a plan with her brother to corner Julian from both sides.”
Well. This was going to be interesting,
Julian still couldn’t believe Lillian would actually leave him. Too confident. Too arrogant.
And just like Finn said, Lillian was already ahead of him.
