Chapter 177 A Call to the Police
Third–Person POV:
Julian still hadn’t brought the pup back. What kind of Alpha couldn’t even handle one Omega?
Eleanor was furious.
After calming Iris down somewhat, she left the hospital room.
Only Iris and Edith remained. Edith asked softly, “Would you like something to eat?”
Both of their expressions had returned to normal–especially Iris. Just moments ago she had been distraught over the missing pup, but now she seemed perfectly composed.
When it came down to it, if she could use her own child as a pawn, how deeply could she really care?
“Eat? Of course I’ll eat.”
Wherlever people from the Graves Pack weren’t around, Iris made sure to eat well.
Even with all the chaos in the hospital these past few days, she hadn’t neglected herself.
The only lingering trouble was the pain from her birth wound reopening that first time–a constant, dull ache.
And all of it was Lillian’s fault!
f Lillian had just properly severed the mate bond with Julian, none of this would have happened.
Edith brought over a bowl of chicken noodle soup.
ris took a spoonful. “The soup the Graves Pack sent really is quite good.”
A shame Lillian doesn’t get to enjoy it,” Edith added smoothly.
While attending to Iris, Edith had learned to say only what Iris wanted to hear–and Iris was growing fonder of her by the day.
ris let out a cold laugh. “Her? She thinks she deserves the same things I do?”
Edith nodded. “After her miscarriage, Lillian hasn’t been taking care of herself at all. She’s going to have long–term health issues because of it.”
‘Good,” Iris said flatly. “Then she won’t be able to carry pups easily.”
Damn Lillian.
