When Margaret emphasized the words “your elder“, Julian shot her a contemptuous look. “If nothing unexpected happens, Simon’s about to have some unexpected problems.”

Margaret gasped. “No.”

At the mention of something happening to Simon, a horrified cry escaped her lips.

The woman who usually carried victory in her eyes like a queen suddenly had panic written all over her face.

After years of operating in the gray areas herself, she knew exactly what Julian meant by

For the first time, Margaret was genuinely terrified.

But Julian was done with her. He shoved his hands in his pockets and headed straight for the door.

He’d barely made it outside when Iris and Eleanor showed up.

Eleanor’s brain practically seized at the mess in the room. “You little brat, what did you do

now?”

Iris took one look at the scene and felt her heart sink.

Julian ignored Eleanor completely and kept walking.

Eleanor’s voice shook with rage.

But all she got in response was the sound of his footsteps fading away.

“What the hell happened to you these past six months? Why does Julian still care so much about that omega?”

She turned all her fury on Iris.
