“You failed as a mate, Julian. And as an Alpha? You’re pathetic. Guys like you don’t deserve a bond. You don’t deserve a mate at all.

“So why are you so hell–bent on refusing to break ours? I was stupid enough to waste my time on you once–did you really think I’d just stay and live like this forever?”

I practically spat out the words “live like this“.

Sure, the Graves Pack was one of the wealthiest werewolf packs in the city. But what good was that, really?

If being part of a pack like that only meant a life this miserable, then waking up and walking away was the only smart thing to do.

When Julian heard the words “miserable life“, his expression darkened even further.

Especially facing Lillian’s accusations.

He had been completely unaware of all this over the years, and his anger was starting to boil over. “So who do you think would give you a good life, then? Finn?”

At the mention of Finn, Lillian’s gaze turned even colder as she looked at Julian. “He saved me today.”
