Lillian’s POV:
The more I talked, the more sarcastic my voice got.

“You know what? Every single gift you ever brought me over the years? It made me sick.
“As my mate, you kept giving me all these presents, but you never once stopped to think whether I’d actually get to keep any of them.
“You failed as a mate, Julian. And as an Alpha? You’re pathetic. Guys like you don’t deserve a bond. You don’t deserve a mate at all.
“So why are you so hell–bent on refusing to break ours? I was stupid enough to waste my time on you once–did you really think I’d just stay and live like this forever?”
I practically spat out the words “live like this“.
Sure, the Graves Pack was one of the wealthiest werewolf packs in the city. But what good was that, really?
If being part of a pack like that only meant a life this miserable, then waking up and walking away was the only smart thing to do.
Third–Person POV:
When Julian heard the words “miserable life“, his expression darkened even further.
Especially facing Lillian’s accusations.
He had been completely unaware of all this over the years, and his anger was starting to boil over. “So who do you think would give you a good life, then? Finn?”
At the mention of Finn, Lillian’s gaze turned even colder as she looked at Julian. “He saved me today.”
That single sentence instantly crushed all the rage that had been building inside Julian.
Right… After what happened today at Inkwood Gardens, what right did he have to bring up anything between Finn and Lillian?
Julian took a deep breath.

Before he could speak, Lillian added, “If Grandmother’s share can’t be transferred back to me, then don’t bother. I never really cared about those things anyway.”
Hearing this, the aura around Julian grew even more frigid.
But Lillian’s attitude remained firm and unyielding.
None of her former gentleness or compliance remained.
Julian closed his eyes for a moment. “Transfer everything back to you, and you stop all attacks against Iris?”
The current backlash against Iris was a serious matter.
Though he hated to admit it, Julian knew very well that as long as Lillian refused to let it go, Iris would keep getting torn apart by public opinion.
Who would have thought this seemingly background–less Omega would turn out to have such a defiant spine?
The moment Iris was mentioned, the look Lillian gave Julian turned even more distant.
Julian sighed helplessly. “Fine. I’ll have Thomas transfer everything back to you first.”
Lillian said, “Especially Grandmother’s portion.”
She emphasized it again.
Hearing her insistence, Julian felt a headache coming on.
He glanced at Lillian, hesitating as if every demand she made now put him in an impossible position.
Lillian didn’t say another word.
Finally, Julian couldn’t hold back. “What about Iris?”
“Iris‘ mother, Margaret, nearly got me killed today.”
At those words, Julian swallowed back what he had been about to say-“Please go easy on Iris, at least for now.”
But as he was leaving, he still muttered, “She and her mother aren’t the same person.”
Meaning, he hoped Lillian wouldn’t lump the mother and daughter together.

F:
Lillian stared at him coldly. Nothing she said to Julian mattered anymore.
One day.”
Julian asked, “What?”

“If you can get back everything they stole from me before sunrise tomorrow, I’ll leave her alone for now. How’s that?”
One day…?
Hearing the timeframe, Julian said, “Grandmother’s portion definitely won’t be that quick.”
“Then there’s nothing I can do,” Lillian replied coolly.
Hearing her response, Julian’s breath hitched again.
“Do you have to be like this?”
He could see it clearly now–Lillian had no real intention of letting Iris off the hook.
Lillian knew exactly what kind of person Catherine was. If those assets had really ended up in her hands, getting her to give them back wouldn’t be easy at all.
Lillian said, “You have no right to negotiate with me.”
Already struggling to breathe steadily, Julian felt even more unsettled hearing those words.
“You have no right to negotiate“-that was something he used to say to others.
